Hello Navigators,

This week our 3rd through 5th graders will begin state testing in Language Arts. Please help your child do their best by offering encouragement, ensuring they eat breakfast and making sure they are at school on time.

Our Book Fair will be held this week from March 18th to March 22nd. Please see this link for more information. We encourage you to set up an E-Wallet as an easy way for students to purchase items during the school day. Cash and credit cards are also accepted. The book fair will be open after school until 6:30 PM on Wednesday 3/20. Students must be accompanied by an adult to visit the fair after school.

In an effort to increase campus security Nichols received new exterior cameras. The cameras will record activities in various locations throughout the campus 24 hours a day. The Principal and Assistant Principal will have access to live video as well as video recording for 30 days.

The BASE PROGRAM provides Before & After School care. If you are interested in enrolling your Child, please contact them through their website.

We are so thrilled with out STEAM program. STEAM stands for Science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. We have Ms. Pauels who teaches the STEM parts of STEAM and Ms. Harmon who teaches Art. Check out the STEAM Newsletter for the latest information.

Oceanside Unified School District has partnered with Care Solace to help families in need of mental health support. This services can help quickly find available services. We know there are times when issues come up that need to be resolved. OUSD has created a chain of communication that allows for an efficient resolution process. This is now located on our school’s website under “Our School” called Chain of Communication.
