Last Day of School - EARLY RELEASE - Last Day of School - EARLY RELEASE -

Students will be dismissed at 1:40 p.m. tomorrow, as we wrap up our final day of the school year. It has been a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences, and we are incredibly proud of all that our students have accomplished. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our families for their continued partnership, support, and involvement—it truly makes a difference in creating a positive and successful school community. From classroom activities and special events to academic progress and personal growth, this year has been a meaningful journey for everyone involved. As we head into summer, we encourage families to enjoy time together, explore new adventures, and relax. We wish you a fun, safe, and refreshing summer break, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall!

5th Grade Clap Out 5th Grade Clap Out

Tomorrow, we will celebrate our 5th grade students with a special Clap Out event at dismissal. Our 5th graders will take one final walk through the halls as students and staff cheer them on and send them off in style.

We invite all 5th-grade parents and families to join us! Please gather outside by the front doors to create a "cheering tunnel" for the students as they exit the building for the very last time.

Let’s give our graduating Jaguars the memorable send-off they deserve—we’re going to miss them! Students will exit the front of the building around 1:25 pm.

Report Cards Report Cards

The End of Year Report Cards will be updated in the ALMA platform tomorrow after 3:30 pm.

To access Alma, please head to dujardin.getalma.com or erickson.getalma.com. You will need to log into your Alma account using the same information from registration. Your username should be your firstname.lastname. If you don't remember your password, please select “forgot password” at the bottom or contact the office.

On the left hand side, select your child’s name. Then select the “report cards” tab. Underneath this tab, you will see a Trimester 3 Progress Report PDF. This will show you your child’s current progress for the school year.

Math Fact Fluency Math Fact Fluency

This school year, our students have worked incredibly hard toward mastering their math fact fluency goals. To see how much growth your child has made, their specific spring math benchmark information will be sent home in the near future. Over the summer, we highly encourage students to keep practicing math facts. Keeping these skills sharp will free up their working memory, allowing them to focus their full attention on more complex, multi-step problem solving.

With the planned summer renovations of our Internal classroom spaces, DuJardin will be closed starting at 2:00pm tomorrow. Once students have been safely dismissed for the year at 1:40pm, staff will be asked to exit the building shortly thereafter.

What this means for students and parents:

  • If a student will be absent on May 22nd, any items left behind will not be available for pick up until next school year.
  • DuJardin Main Office staff will be available by appointment at the temporary District Office located at 255 E. Lake St. during the summer months.
  • The best way to contact our DuJardin Main Office between May 22nd and September 8th is to email us at DJOFFICE@SD13.ORG

Kindergarten Eligibility Children who will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2026, are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the upcoming school year.

New vs. Returning Student Portals To streamline the process, we have two distinct registration pathways:

  • New Student Portal: For families brand new to District 13.

  • Returning Student Portal: For any student currently enrolled in D13 during the 2025-2026 school year.

Important Note for Transitioning Students If your child currently attends a D13 school, they are considered a returning student. You should use the Returning Student Portal even if your child is moving from one building to another (for example, moving from DuJardin Elementary to Westfield Middle School OR moving from Preschool at Erickson to Kindergarten at Erickson or DuJardin).

Required Health Forms for the upcoming school year:

  • Kindergarten: Physical, Dental, & Vision
  • 2nd Grade: Dental
  • Health Office Website

  • For this summer please email these forms to: DJHealthOffice@sd13.org

Student Needs:

  • Please inform the nurse of any allergies or sensitivities to foods, medications, and environmental allergens. If there are any pertinent details of your students' health that you feel the nurse needs to know, please reach out and discuss this with the school nurse. This information can be helpful to better support your student throughout the day, if certain situations arise.

About Your Student’s Medication:

  • The district's medication administration policy mandates that all medication to be administered at school requires an MD order, this includes over-the-counter medications. Students may NOT keep over-the-counter meds in their backpacks or in their lockers--including cough drops, Advil, etc. This is an important safety concern! Please review the policy included in the registration process.

  • If your student requires an inhaler, Epi-Pen, or any oral medication, please obtain the medication form and appropriate health care plan from your physician when your child has their exam. Forms may also be obtained on the district website.

Excused Physical Education Class:

Calls home from the Nurse:

  • Phone calls home are warranted in the event of a head injury, minor or major

  • All in school sickness including fever of 100.4 (oral) or greater, vomiting and/or diarrhea

Please prepare to keep your child home until:

  • Fever-free for a full 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.

  • Vomiting and diarrhea has ceased for a full 24 hours

Please refer to the General Health Guidelines which can be found on the district website
