Dear Wales Families,
This was a fun week at Wales. Mrs. Gipe's kindergarten students have been incubating chicken eggs, and this week several hatched. Our very own Raymond (our fun stuffed rooster) was there to watch over them during the evening as they worked hard to escape from their egg.
Our UPK students had a visit from Earth Spirit and students were excited to learn all about cockroaches. Some students were brave and held them! All UPK Parents: You received a form for our screening process, the DIAL screening form parent form. In order to complete your child's screening score we need to have the form completed and returned by 5/23.
K-2 parents: Your child brought home a parent input form on colored paper last week. This is an optional way for you to give input for your child's placement next year as we look to create balanced classrooms to meet all our students' needs. If you are planning to complete the form, please return it to the school by Friday, 5/23.
Remember to join us at Wales tonight for our annual STEAM and ice cream social night. The event runs from 6-7:30.
The annual school budget/BOE members vote is scheduled for 5/20. You can show your support for our school and programs by voting. Voting is from 7:30AM-9:00PM in the Iroquois Intermediate gymnasium.
