Hubbard Woods Family Newsletter
March 31, 2025
I hope you had a restful and joyful Spring Break filled with moments of fun, connection, and renewal. As we return to school and step into the final stretch of the year that will be filled with excitement, growth, and possibility. This is a special time when students begin to truly shine, applying all they’ve learned and embracing new challenges with confidence.
As a quick reminder, we’ll be holding a school-wide assembly this morning to review safety protocols with students.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let’s make this final chapter of the school year one to remember!
All the best,
Ivory Ajavon
Principal
Class Placements for 2025-2026: Parent Input Survey
As we begin planning class placements for next year, we invite you to share any unique insights about your child’s learning style or academic/social needs that you feel are important for us to consider. If you would like to provide this input, please complete the form by Friday, April 25th.
Please note that while we value your perspective, we are not able to honor specific teacher requests. Thank you for trusting our professional judgment as we work to create thoughtful and supportive learning environments for every Hubbard Woods student.

In early April, all Illinois public schools will administer the state-mandated Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). This assessment measures student progress in English language arts and mathematics and includes tasks that require strategic thinking, problem-solving, and written responses.
At Hubbard Woods, our 3rd and 4th grade students will participate in the IAR from Monday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 9.
