Montwood HS Community,

As we set out to begin our 2020-2021 school year we are prepared to continue working together to serve as a constant positive force for our Montwood community. Our theme for our school year will be Stronger Together. I truly believe that the theme exemplifies what it means to be a Ram. I was super proud to see how each one of our students, families, and staff came together during the Spring semester to take care of our kids and each other. Safety will continue to be a number one priority as we transition into the new school year by providing the support and appropriate protocols for our students to have a safe and successful school year.

We continue to grow and expand thanks to your support and approval of the 2017 #TeamSISD Bond. Our new Fine Arts building is in progress to be completed by the Spring of 2021. In addition, renovation of the cafeteria, classrooms, and science labs is in progress for completion by end of the school year.

Montwood High School will continue with its tradition of excellence and quality instruction for all students ensuring that Montwood High School continues to be amongst the best high school’s in the state of Texas.

All students will be on remote instruction until September 8, 2020. School hours will be from 9 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Students will receive at least 30 minutes of live instruction per class period. Students will be on a block schedule Monday -Thursday. Below is the schedule.

Monday & Wednesday - Periods 1 -4

Tuesday & Thursday Periods 5 - 8

Friday all periods.

For the 2020-2021 school year, applications for free and reduced-priced meals in Team SISD are being accepted online now at www.sisd.net/mealapplication.

The online application process offers families an easy, quick, and efficient way to complete the form to determine if they qualify for free or reduced cost meals. For more information or questions about the online meal application, call (915) 937-0450.

The district will continue to offer free breakfast to all students this school year. As part of the Breakfast in the Classroom program, all elementary, middle and high school students, regardless of income eligibility, will receive breakfast free of charge when students return to the classroom as approved by the Texas Education Agency and local health and government officials.
