A Message from the Principal, Dr. Martinez

Welcome Back, Lobo Community!

We’re excited to begin another school year filled with new learning, new opportunities, and the continued strength of our Lobo spirit. This year, our unity, resilience, and pride will be tested as we implement the new state law banning personal devices on campus. We know this will be a big adjustment for our students and families—and we get it. Simply saying “it’s the law” doesn’t always change behavior (most of us have at least one speeding ticket to prove it 😅).

But just like every other challenge we’ve faced together, we’ll lead with understanding, empathy, and consistency. Our shared commitment to creating focused, connected learning environments will make all the difference. We’re grateful for your support and proud to partner with you as we take on this change—together, as one Pack.

First Day Essentials

On the first day of school, students will begin in their assigned "zero-hour" classroom. We'll email your student's zero-hour location, which is based on their last name, to the email address we have on file before school starts.

Don't worry about getting lost! Our staff will be all over the building to help students find their way. In their zero-hour classroom, students will get their ID badge, lanyard, and their official class schedule.

Before and After School

Langham Creek's doors open daily at 6:45 AM, and first period begins promptly at 7:15 AM.

  • Students who arrive after the bell but within the first ten minutes of class will be marked tardy.

  • Arriving more than ten minutes late will result in an absence for that class period.

The school day ends at 2:35 PM, and all students must exit the building by 2:45 PM. Any student staying after school must have a pass from a teacher and will be required to sign in electronically for safety purposes.

Bus Routes and Supper:

  • Bus routes are back! Find out what bus you ride, CLICK HERE.

  • Late buses will run at 5:10, Monday through Thursday.

  • Supper will be served for students participating in after-school events.

CFISD 1:1 Devices

Hey students! Please take a moment to find your CFISD-issued Chromebook and charger. Turn it on and make sure it's ready to go before the first day of school.

Oh no, my Chromebook isn't working! No problem. Just log in to my.cfisd.net and submit an LTE ticket, and our tech team will begin processing tickets the week of August 25, 2025.

You don't have a Chromebook? Don't worry! We will be distributing them to all freshmen and new to CFISD students starting the week of August 18, 2025.

* NEW* Cell Phones and Personal Communication Devices

A new Texas law (House Bill 1481) requires school districts to prohibit student use of all personal communication devices during the school day. Therefore, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is updating its personal communication device policy.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the use of all personal communication devices is prohibited during the school day. Devices must be turned off and stored in the student’s personal bag or backpack at all times during the school day.

CFISD has created a Personal Communication Devices Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) to address some of the implications of this new policy. Please review the content of this FAQ with your student(s) prior to the start of the 2025-26 school year.

Safety Updates

To help us keep our school safe, please talk to your students about the following important expectations:

  • Student IDs: Students must wear their ID badges at all times while on campus. This is essential for us to know who is in the building. If a student arrives at school without their ID, they will need to purchase a temporary badge for $1.00, which will be added to their campus fees.

  • Clear Backpacks: All students must use clear backpacks. Purses or lunchboxes that are 6x9 inches or smaller are exempt and do not have to be clear.

  • No Hoods Inside: Students are not permitted to wear hoodies with the hoods up inside the school building. This rule helps our staff identify everyone on campus and ensure they belong here.
