School Start Information
August 19, 2025
Principal's Corner
Hello Eisenhower Families,
The end of summer is quickly approaching, and we are excited to welcome our new and returning Eagles back to school! Information regarding the 2025-2026 school year will be included in our open house folders; however, I wanted to ensure that some of the more important details are sent in advance. Kindergarten families, please pay close attention to any K-specific information.
School Supplies
Follow this link to see a list of school supplies by grade level. If your family is experiencing hardship and you are unable to provide school supplies, stop in to see one of our school social workers during Open House.
Class Placements
You will be able to view teacher assignments in ParentVue Friday, August 22nd. Class placements are intentionally released close to the beginning of the school year as enrollment can fluctuate greatly in August.
All families should have received emails in June with directions on how to update ParentVue usernames and passwords. **Previous login credentials will no longer provide access. If you are having difficulty, please contact the district help line at 763-506-HELP (4357) or email their support staff at 506HELP@ahschools.us. If needed, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible because this time of year is extremely busy for our helpline.
**We STRONGLY recommend writing down your child(ren)’s classroom placements to bring with you to Open House. This will help avoid a long and potentially frustrating line.
**Kindergarten Specific Information
All kindergarten students will be at school the first two days, Tuesday, September 2nd and Wednesday, September 3rd. Kindergarten students will not attend school Thursday, September 4th or Friday, September 5th. Teachers will utilize this time to meet and partner with parents/guardians to set our earliest learners up for a successful year of learning. Plan to bring your kindergartener to your Meet and Greet session if possible.
All kindergarten students will attend school full-time starting Monday, September 8, 2025.
**Kindergarten Meet and Greets
There was a mistake in the initial sign up that we sent out to sign up for a teacher meet and greet. We have corrected the error and will be sending out a new sign up by the end of the week. I greatly appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience and/or confusion!
OPEN HOUSE
Our teachers are excited to meet their incoming students at our annual Open House, Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Plan to bring school supplies, and don’t forget to visit our specialists, support staff, and our school nurse if needed.
**IMPORTANT: This event is a great opportunity for students to meet their teachers, find their classrooms, and get excited for the new school year. Please keep in mind that this is a busy evening for our teachers. To ensure they can give their full attention to students, we ask that you please refrain from discussing private family information at the event. Instead, please plan to call or email your child’s teacher with any important information. This will allow for a more private and respectful conversation, while also helping our teachers focus on making the Open House a special and memorable night for all of our students.
**Kindergarten Specific Open House
Kindergarten classroom assignments will not be finalized until after the first two days of school, however, we still want you to join us. This is a great opportunity for your child to meet all of our wonderful kindergarten teachers, tour the classrooms, drop off supplies, and get a feel for their school.
You will receive an Open House folder in which you will find an important transportation tag. These tags will help our staff ensure that your child gets home safely each day. It is important that your child wears their tag every day for at least the first two weeks of school.
All kindergarten students will meet teachers on the front lawn on the first two days of school. Their transportation tag will have a colored piece of yarn which will help us guide them to the correct place.
Official School hours 9:30 am - 4:00 pm
Morning Arrival / Drop-Off
To ensure a smooth and safe start to each school day, all students will enter the building through Door #2 in the morning.
Students eating school breakfast may be dropped off beginning at 9:05 am.
All other students may be dropped off starting at 9:15 am. Please do not drop off your child before this time, as supervision is not available.
The school day officially begins at 9:30 am, at which time all students are expected to be in their classrooms and ready to learn.
Afternoon Dismissal
For safety and efficiency, we follow a specific dismissal plan. More detailed information will be provided in the folder you receive at Open House.
Transportation
Busing information will be available in ParentVue the last week of August. Anoka-Hennepin families can check where their bus is — live — through a transportation app, called Versatrans My Stop. The app monitors regular school bus routes in real-time. Best of all, it’s free for parents/guardians and students to use. Versatrans My Stop can be downloaded from mobile app stores (Apple Store; Android Google Play store). On-screen directions walk first-time users through the easy setup process.
Team Eisenhower is looking forward to an incredible year of learning and growing and we cannot wait to welcome our students back to school.
In partnership and with great appreciation,
Lillian DeRung
