Dear God
We thank You for the gift of fathers, grandfathers, and all male caregivers who guide, protect, and nurture with strength and compassion.
Bless them with wisdom, patience, and joy in their role as mentors and role models.
May they feel appreciated and supported, and may their love continue to shape the hearts of those in their care.
Grant them peace and grace in all they do.
Amen.
PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Happy Father’s Day
Wishing all dads, grandads, and caregivers a wonderful Father’s Day this Sunday. We hope you feel celebrated and appreciated. This week, our Kindy and Pre-primary students enjoyed special activities with their fathers, and many children visited the Father’s Day stalls to select gifts for their loved ones. A heartfelt thank you to Ms Sheahan for organising the items and to our P&F for running the stalls so smoothly.
Book Week & Book Fair
We celebrated the joy of reading during Book Week with a vibrant dress-up day on Monday and a Book Fair in the Library. It was a fantastic opportunity to highlight the magic of books. Thank you to all families for your enthusiastic participation, and special thanks to Mrs Gibbs for her planning and coordination, and to Mrs Gibbs, Mrs Clune, and Mrs Harris for managing the Book Fair throughout the week.
First Holy Communion
Last Sunday, some of our Year 4 students received their First Holy Communion in a beautiful Mass celebrated with our parish community. The church was full, and the occasion was truly special. Thank you to Fr Bernard, Mrs Alaga, Mr Gibbs, and Mr Bigwood for preparing the children and organising the celebration, and to all parents for your support. Congratulations to the children on receiving this important Sacrament.
Interschool Sport
Today, our Year 6 and selected Year 5 students represented our school in badminton and league tag at the interschool level. Despite limited training opportunities due to weather, our students gave their best and were excellent ambassadors. Thank you to our coaches – Miss Jones, Mr Hanrahan, Mrs Phillips, and Mrs Watson – for making this experience possible.
Collaborative Conferences (Optional)
In Term 3, we offer optional collaborative conferences for parents and teachers to discuss student progress. If you or your child’s teacher would like to arrange a meeting, please refer to the information included in this newsletter regarding available times.
Faction Sports Carnival
Next Friday, we will hold our Faction Sports Carnival for students in Pre-primary to Year 6. All children will participate in events throughout the day, with a renewed focus on inclusive participation. Championship events for jumps and throws will take place on Thursday afternoon.
The Kindy Sports Carnival will be held on Wednesday afternoon.
The P&F will be running a cake stall during Friday’s carnival, and we kindly ask for donations of cakes, biscuits, and other baked goods to support this initiative.

BANKSIA GROVE YOUTH GROUP SURVEY & INFO NIGHT
We’re excited to explore the possibility of starting a new youth group here at our parish - and we’d love your input! Whether you're a parent, young adult, teen, or simply someone passionate about supporting youth in our church, we invite you to complete a short survey to help shape what this ministry could look like. Your feedback will guide us as we plan activities, meeting times, and areas of focus.
You can find the survey by scanning the QR code.
To review the survey results and continue the conversation, we’ll be hosting an Information Night soon. Everyone is welcome to attend - especially those interested in helping build a vibrant and faith-filled youth ministry. Let’s work together to create something meaningful for the young people in our community. Thank you for your support!
