A Note from Principal Eck
Dear Westmoor Families,
What an incredible showcase of talent from our 5th-grade students in The Claw! Set inside a whimsical vending machine in Northbrook, the play follows a group of lovable stuffies waiting their turn as the claw hovers above, choosing who will be picked next. Their performance was truly outstanding and a wonderful reflection of the creativity and dedication within our school community.
Next week, we kick off Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! To honor the incredible team that makes Westmoor so special, we invite all students to wear red on Wednesday. Let’s fill the halls with red to show our appreciation and celebrate the dedication of our amazing staff!
Students in 2nd-5th grades will be taking the NWEA MAP assessment starting next week. Teachers will share information about specific dates/times for testing.
Lastly, we're excited to share that we had lots of students and families register for the HOH Run/Walk on Saturday. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there for a fun and energetic day!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Quote of the Week
Each week students may submit a positive quote that captures and motivates their peers to persevere and feel good. We then showcase the quotes throughout the school building. Students may submit a quote, using this link.

We’re excited to showcase the special moments and achievements of our students and their families. Whether it’s a holiday, cultural tradition, a child’s milestone like riding a bike without training wheels, a big win at a soccer game, welcoming a new pet, or anything else that makes you proud — we’d love to feature it! Here is the link to share a photo and brief description.
