Madison Upper Elementary Update

Dear Families,

Today, as we celebrate Mother's Day, I want to take a moment to recognize and honor the incredible mothers and mother figures in our school community. Your unwavering support, love, and dedication play a vital role in shaping the lives of our students and our school environment.

Mothers, you inspire us with your strength and resilience. You balance so many responsibilities while nurturing and guiding our children with love and wisdom. Whether you are a biological mother, a stepmother, a grandmother, or a guardian, your impact is immeasurable.

Let us take this day to express our gratitude for all that you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and we appreciate the countless ways you contribute to our school community.

Wishing all mothers a day filled with love, joy, and cherished moments with your families.

Have a great day!

Nate Pechaitis

There’s still time to register your child for Young Fives and Kindergarten! To help create balanced classrooms, it’s essential to also register the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment. This ensures we are fully prepared to meet the needs of all our students. Please share this information with young families you know who may not receive school communications.

5th grade students will travel to Adrian College to join the Adrian Symphony Orchestra by singing and playing recorder in this highly participatory program designed by Carnegie Hall.

There will be a PATT meeting in the Commons beginning at 3:45.

Students will enjoy engaging stories, demonstrations, and fun activities while exploring historic homes, barns, gardens, and craft shops. They'll take a walk through time from 1803 through the 1920s while visiting Natives & Newcomers, Pioneer Settlement, and the 1920s Main Street.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend with your family and friends. There will be no school on Monday, May 26th.

The PATT is organizing a Walk-a-Thon to raise funds for inclusive and accessible playground equipment. These enhancements will honor Laurie, a dedicated member of the Madison community. Laurie attended Madison as a student and spent over 15 years teaching students with significant special needs. The new playground equipment will serve as a memorial to her commitment and legacy.
