Over the next few weeks, campuses across the District, including ours, will be launching a new website. When that happens, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the refreshed design and set new bookmarks for your browsing convenience. You can also download the new Conroe ISD app from your device’s app store and begin customizing the pages and news you want to see.

Additionally, in the coming weeks, you will receive information about our new mass communication system called Alerts. Be on the lookout for texts from 98900 when the new system is implemented. Emails and texts may have a slightly different look, but they’ll still contain all the great information we share. These transitions are part of a bigger initiative to bring efficiency to the District’s communication platforms, and there are more exciting updates to come!

April 4th and 5th, College Park High School French teachers Jodie Gill and Rachelle Chrispen traveled to the Grand Oaks with a team of 36 students, 9-12 grade, to the 61st Texas French Symposium statewide tournament which is comprised of academic events like language tests, poetry recitation, prose reading, and extemporaneous speaking along with artistic events in music and art. Mesdames Gill and Chrispen are excited to announce that the CP team took 10th place out of 29 participating schools and over 600 students earning a total of 118 points. The statistics of the win are also impressive; 83% of the students made it to semi-final rounds, 30% to final rounds, and 17% placed in events. Christian Bohn and Owen Plourde tied for the most points for the team, followed by Ian Hermia Freyre, Abigail Rodriguez, and Lily Chartrand. College Park est dans la salle! We can’t wait for 2026!

We would like to recognize Mr. Lungu for volunteering to judge both Friday and Saturday, CP’s Chinese teacher Sarah Feng for judging instrumental solo. This event cannot happen without the work of the board, the host school (merci Madame Peek at Grand Oaks), the participating teachers, and never without the volunteer judges. Merci mille fois!

While we honor the students who placed, we are also very proud of the entire team. As a board member of TFS and a long-time participating teacher, Madame Gill is particularly pleased to see the impact of Texas French Symposium on our students. It takes tremendous courage to stand before a judge and speak in another language! The team was also very supportive by helping teammates prepare at after school practices and during the event for all rounds.

Abigail Rodriguez: Pastel/Colored Pencil 2nd place

Adelaide Dieden: Painting 3rd place

Christian Bohn: Vocal Solo 5th place, Dictée 3rd place, Interpretative Reading Test 5th place, Sight Reading 6th place

Ian Hermida Freyre: Extemporaneous Speaking 4th place

Owen Plourde: Interpretative Listening Test 5th place, Poetry 2nd place, Poetry 3rd place

Saanvi Sahu: Dictée 6th place

Hi College Park! My name is Cameron Concepcion, I’m 21 years old, and I’m a 2022 high school graduate of College Park High School. I’m so excited to announce that I received THREE YESES from Lionel Richie, Carrie Underwood, & Luke Bryan, and secured a GOLDEN TICKET on this season of American Idol. Although I didn’t make it past the first round of Hollywood week, I still landed in the Top 144 out of tens of thousands of people. I’m so thankful for my Idol journey that started back in August 2024, and I’m so proud to have represented Conroe & The Woodlands.

CPHS wants All Cavaliers to Achieve. A large part of student success is related to student attendance. We want to teach our Cavs all we can in the days that we have with them. Please encourage your student to attend every period to gain the knowledge they need to be successful. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office or see the new Student Absence Reporting App information below. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed. We would also like to remind you that your child will be at risk of losing credit and parents/guardians may have to go to court due to attendance.

To simplify the process for our families, CISD is excited to launch a new app that allows you to conveniently report your student's absences. Please note that supporting documentation, such as doctor's notes, will still need to be submitted to the attendance office at twcpattendance@conroeisd.net or dropped off in the attendance office. The reporting app can be accessed through the Parent Portal and directions can be found by clicking the button below.

Our current attendance rate is: 95.1%. It is important that your child is in class each day unless they are ill. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed.
