Week of December 12, 2022

Upcoming Spirit Days

As always every Thursday is Panda Pride day! Wear your Thacher/ELC gear, Attleboro gear, or blue!

Super Friends Parade

This week started with our annual Super Friends parade! Both sessions walked the Thacher halls to the Super Friends song. Thacher students cheered on the preschoolers as they made their way to the auditorium to sing the song together and read the Super Friends book.

Don't forget to read the book at home and bring back your Kindness paw colored in with what you did that was kind! Thank you to those that already brought their paws back!

Phone Number Update

APS is currently updating the mobile phone numbers on record so that we can send school cancellations and other urgent notices via text message. We ask that you update your contact information in Aspen using the workflow directions listed here: https://5il.co/1ldxt

If you have multiple students, please complete the workflow for each one. Families who wish to have their child(ren) receive text messaging from the district/school, should provide student cell phone number(s) through this workflow as well.

Outside Play!

It is that time of year where the weather is now just plain cold. Coats, hats, mittens and scarves are needed and should be labeled in case they get misplaced or are left in the hall when students are coming back from recess. Staff will make sure that the coats go home every day. If you are missing an hat, coat, or mittens please let the classroom teacher know. We will be going out for recess unless it falls below the feels like 25 degree temperature or if it is precipitating.

Notifications on the APS App

We recently learned that if you pressed no to notifications when you first downloaded the APS application that you will not receive our notifications. Apptegy recommends that you delete the app, redownload it and make sure that notifications are allowed the first time you are prompted.
