Kindergarten Reminders!
1) If there is any change to the way your child goes home, please notify the office by 2:00 pm.
2) Bedtime routines are important for children. Regular schedules help your child function at their peak levels. Please set a regular bedtime and waketime.
3) Please be sure to send a "healthy" snack to school daily.
4) Please be sure your child arrives at school on time each day.
5) As the season changes, please send a sweater/jacket with your child each day. This will give them something to wear in the classroom if they get cold. Please put your child's name in the jacket, so we know who it belongs to.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!
Little Hands!
Little hands need to develop dexterity and strength. The activities listed here prepare your child to color, cut, draw, and ultimately write. Below are some teacher tips to improve your child's fine motor skills.
- Build pictures out of snap cubes.
- Paint a picture using Q-tips as paintbrushes.
- Make the letters of your name out of Wikki stix.
- Practice opening and closing storage containers (plastic food bins, Ziploc bags, etc.).
- Cup your hands together to shake two dice. Roll them and add up the dots.
High Five!
- Please write your child's name on all water bottles, lunch boxes, and jackets that they bring to school. We don't want them to get lost.
- Water bottles are ONLY for water. Please do not send them with juice, milk, etc.
- Please send a HEALTHY snack daily. (See SNACK TIME below for some options).
- Please send a change of clothes in your child's backpack, in case of emergencies.
- If your child accidentally brings their name tag home, please send it back to school the next day.
