Principal Message
The picture above is of the winner of this years early bird JK/K registration Chromebook.
Another exciting week is in the book as we move towards the end of November. This week our GYPSD school board trustees came to tour our school. School Council cooked pancakes for us all. Miss Weninger and student volunteers put on an amazing book fair. Mrs. Riggs hosted Picnic in the gym and lunchtime crafts. The grade 4s had grandparents program. And to end of the week the 5/6 class had their weekly hotdog sales.
Next week is a little calmer though there are some important events going occuring. On Wednesday, School Council Chair Mrs. Carla Gylander, GYPSD Board Chair/Lobstick Trustee Melodie Bobliek and myself will be among those attending the Ad Hoc Committee on Wildwood Bussing meeting. This meeting is to ensure we are carefully considering the bussing plan for the new angulated school that will be starting in September of 2026. If you have thoughts that you would like shared please contact one of us and we will be happy to include your perspectives in our discussions on the matter. On Thursday, I will be going to a District Learning Team meeting in Edson to discuss this years School Improvement Plan, budgets and other topics of importance across the division. Miss Weninger will be Acting Administrator that day.
Wildwood students love to shovel snow and we are always in need of shovels. If you have any you would like to donate to the school please drop off at the office.
On December 12th we are going skating at Evansburg Arena. Permission slips have been sent out today. There is a PDF Below.
With weather dropping into the negatives it is important that students are fully dressed for winter including gloves, hats, snow pants, and boots. Outside recess continues until we hit a combined windchill/actual temperature of -20, please dress accordingly. It is a great idea to have some extra hats and gloves included with students extra clothes in their lockers.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out by calling the school at 780-325-3858 or emailing me at alanstoy@gypsd.ca

We had a wonderful week!
Huge thank you again to PAC for pancake breakfast on Tuesday and Brightwood Ranch for hot breakfast on Thursday!
This week we finally completed our numbers 1-10 - and did a 1-10 Tiger Tail Craft! (photos attached)
We did MANY activities that incorporated our numbers, creative time/art and lots of sensory play with a huge focus on fine motor skills!
We enjoyed our time in the Library, and the Gym with the K/1 class too!
We have also started working on practicing our song for the Christmas Concert coming up soon.
Thank you,
- Ms. Y - JK Program Coordinator.

Our students from Evansview, Wildwood, and Grand Trunk High School are coming together under one roof — and we want to make sure they have a playground that brings them together too!
The Friends of Pembina Learning Society (FOPLS) is running a raffle fundraiser to help create a fun, safe, and engaging space where kids can play, grow, and make memories for years to come.
Your support will help make this playground a place our children are proud to call their own!
