Dear Parents,

As we have made adjustments related to Ms. Hall's resigning her position, we wanted to make you aware of the action steps we are taking to ensure a smooth transition for your child. Please note the following:

• We communicated first with the parents of Ms. Hall's students regarding her leaving Aldridge so that they are able to address this with their ocelots at home before hearing about it elsewhere.

• We have encouraged parents to talk to their children about this change, as this can be emotional for some students.

• Ms. Murphy will stay on for an additional week along with the new substitute, Ms. Rassas, in order to aid in the transition for the students and their new teacher.

• We will not inform students in Ms. Hall's class of the change in teacher until Ms. Murphy's last day in order to minimize strong emotional reactions.

• Ms. Rassas will collaborate with the kinder team to ensure that procedures and expectations are uniform across the grade level.
