Thank you!

Our 5th grade Social Studies teacher, Ms. Levesque, recently organized South Meadow School’s second annual participation in New Hampshire's Kid Governor!

New Hampshire's Kid Governor is a statewide civics program led by NH Civics and the NH Institute of Politics. Designed for 5th graders, it immerses students in real-world civic participation. As part of the program, students learn about state government, research community issues, build platforms, and create campaign videos outlining action plans for causes they care about. Fifth graders across the state then analyze candidate platforms and vote during Statewide Election Week to elect New Hampshire's Kid Governor.

Thanks to Ms. Levesque’s leadership, SMS 5th graders had a fantastic hands-on opportunity to practice democracy, build leadership skills, and experience how their voices can make a real difference in their community!

Fifth graders are taking care of some wiggly decomposers in their “wormariums”. They learned more about the scientific process by forming a hypothesis regarding food the worms will decompose first. We collected data over the week and will soon make our conclusions!

South Meadow School is looking for talented, caring professionals to join our high-performing team, and we need your help to find them.
