💃🪩🕺🏾 THANK YOU, SCHOOL DANCE VOLUNTEERS! A great time was had by all, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the dance and community meet up at Landmark a success (and thanks for your patience with the last minute change of meet up venue)! And a special thank you to Mr. Boyle, Ms. Dom, Ms. I, Ms. Carter, Ms. Bower, and Ms. Jelati for supporting the dance.

🙏 THANK YOU - FAMILIES SUPPORT FAMILIES Thank you to families that reached out to Ms. Patterson and Ms. Mar to request support during the government shutdown. We are proud of how the school community rallied -including parents, teachers, and neighbors- to donate $1,500 in just one week. The funds were converted into Aldi gift cards and distributed to families by Ms. Mar and Ms. Patterson.

🧢 School SWAG update. Orders have arrived! After they are sorted, items will be delivered directly to your student(s). If you missed your chance to order, a limited number of SLA-MS black hoodies and t-shirts are available to purchase from SLA-MS HSA. Email presidentslamshsa@gmail.com. Our next sale will happen in the Spring of 2026.

🥨 Pretzel sales on Wednesday, 11/19 at 3:20! Sales will be indoors most weeks until Spring. Each pretzel purchased supports important HSA initiatives. Pretzels are $1 - cash only.

💚 Lend a helping hand. Please consider making a financial donation to the Classroom Wishlist Fund! Our teachers notice what their students need - help them supply items (like hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes, nutritious snacks, and pencils) to keep kids healthy and ready to learn. Paypal: @treasurerslamshsa@gmail.com. Venmo: SLA-MS-HSA. CashApp: SLAMSHSA - Please indicate “classroom wishlist fund.” There is a continuous need for these items but financial contributions for this quarter are requested by Friday, 11/14.

👖 Emergency Clothes Drive. Accidents happen and students sometimes need a change of pants. We are collecting clean, gently used or new pants for students from age 10-14 including men’s and women’s sizes and new socks in adult sizes.

Please send pants in a ziplock bag labeled with the size, and send socks in their packaging. You can drop them off in the SLA-MS office.
