Welcome back to another wonderful year at Sage Canyon! As your School Counselor, I collaborate with staff, parents, and students through classroom lessons, small groups, and individual skill-building. I am especially passionate about helping students build their own unique "toolbox" of coping skills to navigate big emotions and find success both in and out of the classroom!

I hold a Bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and a Master's in School Counseling from the University of Colorado at Denver. This marks my tenth year in DCSD and my sixth year at Sage Canyon.

Outside of school, Castle Rock has been my home for over twenty years. My husband and I have three children: a high school Junior, a college Freshman at Colorado State University, and a college Senior at the University of Arizona- Go Rams and Wildcats!!

What is a School Counselor? What is a School Counselor?

According to the American School Counseling Association (ASCA)

School counselors design and deliver school counseling programs that improve student outcomes. They lead, advocate and collaborate to promote equity and access for each and every student by connecting their school counseling program to the school’s academic mission and school improvement plan. They uphold the ethical and professional standards of ASCA and promote the development of the school counseling program based on the following areas of the ASCA National Model®: Define, Deliver, Manage and Assess.
