In Our House - Administrator's Message In Our House - Administrator's Message

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!

There is something special about the beginning of the school year. The hallways come alive again with familiar smiles, new faces, excited conversations, and the wonderful energy that comes with a fresh start. Classrooms are ready, Teachers and Staff are prepared, and changes are ready to be implemented.

A new school year is more than a return to routines and schedules—it is an opportunity to begin again. It is a chance for each of us to learn something new, try something challenging, make new connections, and discover strengths we may not have known we had.

For our Students, I hope this year is filled with curiosity, courage, kindness, and joy. I hope you take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, celebrate your successes, and never be afraid to say, “I can't do this yet.” Remember, learning is a journey, and every step forward matters.

To our Families, thank you for entrusting us with your children. Your encouragement, partnership, and support make such a difference. We know that strong, positive relationships between home and school help children feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. We look forward to working alongside you throughout the year.

To our incredible Teachers and Support Staff, thank you for the care, patience, creativity, commitment and professionalism you bring to JSS each day. The work you do reaches far beyond academics. You help children believe in themselves, find their voices, build relationships, and see what is possible.

There will undoubtedly be busy days, unexpected moments, and challenges along the way. But there will also be countless moments that remind us why public schools are such special places—a child mastering something they once found difficult, a new friendship beginning, a Student discovering a passion, a Teacher seeing that “lightbulb” moment, or a simple act of kindness that changes someone's day.

Welcome back, everyone. We are so glad you are here, and we can't wait to see all that this year will bring!

Health and wellness to you all.

Welcome back families! We are excited for a new year of supporting our children’s education and the school. Please read below for important news about Parent Council and Parents’ Society

Annual General Meeting

Our first meeting of the year is scheduled for Sept 22, 3:00 in the school library/learning commons. Please attend, meet your school administration team and learn about what is planned for the year ahead.

A Call for Members

Every single parent/guardian of a student at the school is already a member of the Parent Council and welcome to attend meetings or participate in whatever capacity they can. Executive positions: Chair Person, Vice Chair and Secretary, will be elected at the AGM. The Vice Chair position is vacant, this role will need to be filled, but all positions are open to nomination.

Jack Stuart School Parents’ Society is the fundraising group and a separate entity, although often attended by the same council members and open to join at any time. The executive positions for Society are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. The Vice President position for this group will also be vacant.

The Parents’ Society Meeting will be held September 29th at 6:30 pm via google meet.

If you are interested in ANY executive position, please reach out by text to Kim at 780-781-7763 or email JackStuartParentAdvisory@gmail.com
