Admissions Visits at the College and Career Readiness Center

Did you know that our very own College and Career Readiness Center hosts several Admissions officers each week? Learn about the college, ask questions, and get a sense of what it's like to talk to someone in this role. IMPORTANT COMMON APP INFO

The "Education" portion of the Common App doesn't have to be a mystery! Please don't take guesses; rather, please see the form below for the appropriate answers to this section of the Common App.

Important Points to Remember:

The Student Recommendation Questionnaire in your Scoir drive and your resume must both please be completed before counselors write their letters.
Students must please request transcripts to be sent to colleges via Scoir. Please allow a minimum of 10 school days from the date of the request for the submission of transcripts. For info on requesting transcripts, please see the Senior Slides above.
After you've spoken to your teacher about writing a letter in person, you must request that letter through Scoir. To request a letter of recommendation from your teacher on Scoir, please see here: https://scoir.helpdocs.io/article/8a5m6p2fd4-requesting-teacher-recommendations

It’s your responsibility to know all your schools’ deadlines and admission/testing requirements.
If applicable, it is also your responsibility to send your SAT and/or ACT scores to your colleges.

As you are likely aware, many schools remain "test-optional" for 2026-27. You should be sure to check each school’s website to confirm their status on this. Navigating the financial aid landscape can be challenging. Thanks to a generous donation, Chelmsford High School families now have access to personalized support and resources to help you navigate the college financial landscape including the financial aid process. The CHS School Counseling Department has teamed with the experts from College Affordable to help you to take the steps to make college more affordable. Please see below for more info.

Interested in taking the ASVAB?

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students.

It will be offered at CHS on Thursday, December 10th, and much more information is to follow. Stay tuned!
