ATHLETICS CORNER
PLEASE WELCOME THE NEW LHS ATHLETIC DIRECTOR: MR. ALISAUCKAS
Hello Thunderbolt Community,
My name is Jeff Alisauckas, and I am honored to introduce myself as your new Athletic Director. As soon as I set foot on campus, the pride, energy, and tradition of Littlestown High School and the district as a whole were unmistakable, and I am excited to join this community.
Athletics has always been more than just competition to me. It’s about teamwork, discipline, growth, and building a community where every student feels supported and inspired. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated coaches, talented student-athletes, and enthusiastic families and fans to continue strengthening our programs and celebrating the incredible spirit that defines the Thunderbolt family.
A little about me: For the past 34 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the students, families, and staff of Carroll County Public Schools in Maryland. Throughout my career, I’ve worn many hats…teacher, assistant principal, principal, district supervisor…and along the way, I also enjoyed coaching both HS football and lacrosse along with club/travel softball, baseball, and basketball. Three years ago, my family and I moved from Westminster to Littlestown, and I was immediately struck by how much this community reminded me of Minersville, PA, the small town where I grew up. The close-knit school environment, strong community support, and deep sense of hometown pride here are truly special, and they are among the many reasons I am so excited to serve this community.
My vision is to ensure that every student-athlete has the opportunity to grow not only in their sport, but also as leaders and well-rounded individuals. Together, we will build on the foundation of success which already exists in LASD and continue raising the bar.
I can’t wait to meet more of you at our games, matches, and events this season. Thank you for the warm welcome. I am truly excited for the journey ahead. Let’s make this year an unforgettable one.
Go Bolts!
With pride,
Jeff Alisauckas
Athletic Director

NURSES CORNER
Welcome back to school everyone.
Reminder students can not carry any medications with them in school. This includes cough drops and over the counter medications like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, vitamins, or supplements. If your student needs to have medication or needs a cough drop, Tylenol or Ibuprofen, they can visit the health room for these medications.
All student medication must be brought into the school by the parent/guardian in the original container with the student’s name , medication name and dosage on the bottle. The school can only have a 30 day supply of the medication at the school.
The health room does not have any allergy/cold medicine. If your child needs allergy/cold medicine please be sure that they are taking it prior to coming to school and that it will last for 8 hours to get the student through the day.
If you have a student that is in 11th grade, please turn in their physical forms to the health office along with an updated immunization form if you have not already done so.
Please be sure that your student(s) are eating breakfast in the morning so that they can have the fuel they need to get through the morning and be ready to learn. All students may get one breakfast for free each day this year in the cafeteria. Please remind students to stop by and grab something to eat. In order to be considered a free breakfast, the student must get either a piece of fruit or a fruit juice.
As the weather is changing and the temperatures can be unpredictable please encourage your student to dress appropriately for the weather. Also please be sure that your student is carrying a water bottle to be filled throughout the day so that they can stay hydrated.
Remember that by practicing good health hygiene (washing hands, covering sneezes and coughs) will help to protect everyone from the cold and flu season that will be upon us quickly.

FBLA National Leadership Conference
FBLA Travels to Anaheim, California
By Robert Seubert
On July 27th, we packed our bags and headed off to the airport to travel to California for the National Leadership Conference. With national officer candidate Jon Lehigh in the group came lots of extra luggage for his campaign, and the group pulled together to get it all through the airports to our bus waiting to take us to our hotel in Anaheim.
The day before conference activities officially started was a sightseeing day for the over 450 PA delegates. We had the opportunity to explore parts of California, including the San Diego Zoo. We got many amazing views of animals, even going on a short sky-fari, and getting many pictures so we could remember the trip. Throughout the rest of the day, we rode the trolley, walked around stores, and tried new foods.
On the first day of the conference, we helped prepare Jon Lehigh’s campaign booth. Jon is the first Littlestown student to run for a national office position. In the afternoon, we attended the Pennsylvanian state meeting. It was amazing to see all the PA members and guests and to receive our PA FBLA trading pin. Pin trading was a fun and competitive activity at the conference. The conference opening session that evening was incredible with over 13,000 members in attendance from chapters all across the country and beyond. The opening session set the tone for the entire week.
For the remainder of the conference we attended workshops and other conference activities, networking and making many new friends and memories. Jon and his campaign team met with voting delegates in his campaign booth. Campaigning lasted many hours over a two-day period. At the Eastern Region Campaign Rally, Jon delivered his speech for Eastern Region Vice President followed by a 15 minute Q&A session where members were able to ask each of the four candidates questions. Vincent Gonnella competed in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedures. Logan Turner and myself, Robby Seubert attended the conference as voting delegates and as Jon’s campaign helpers.
On the last day of the conference, we toured Disney Springs and had a chapter meal together. The conference concluded with the Awards Ceremony on the last night. Pennsylvania had many top 10 finishers in their respective competitive events, however Littlestown did not have a competitor make the stage and Jon’s hard work in preparing and campaigning fell just a few votes shy of winning the election. Even so, the conference was a great learning experience for all of us. We headed back home the next day arriving back in Littlestown in the evening exhausted but with many new friends and memories.
