Friday, August 15th
If you have a student who is new in grades 1st-5th we invite you to attend our New Student Orientation today (August 15th) from 3:30-4:00 PM. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you and your children to learn more about our school. During the orientation, we will cover essential information about our school and provide an opportunity for a self tour of the building.
Building Access
Saturday, August 16th and Sunday, August 17th
You are allowed building access from 8:00-4:00 PM this weekend. This is an opportunity for your child to walk the pathway to their homeroom, which will hopefully ease any discomfort come Monday morning. Please see the PDF below titled "Kinsner 2025-2026" for room assignments.
Please pardon any mess, as there may be workers in the building finishing up their projects, custodians cleaning, along with teachers finishing up preparation for their classroom. Rooms should be closed and locked we'd ask that you avoid knocking on doors or entering any of those spaces.

First Day of School for Kindergarten
Tuesday, August 19th
First Day of School for All Kindergarten
- Tuesday, 8/19
- Full Day Kindergarten - Participates in the Connection Program where they will rotate teachers the first week of school. We do this to meet the kids and their learning needs. The intention is to create equitable class lists. They'll have a homeroom teacher assigned for the start of Monday, 8/25. They'll spend the day with them followed by an Open House for families to meet the teachers and formally drop off supplies.
- Half Day Kindergarten - Does not participate in Connections Program, as they have an assigned teacher (we only have one HDK option). They'll be with their homeroom teacher starting the first day of school.
Kindergarten Connections
Tuesday, August 19th - Friday, August 22nd
Full Day Kindergarten ONLY - We understand the importance of helping your child feel comfortable and connected. During the first week, your child will experience different groupings and activities that help build friendships and ease anxiety. We carefully design these “connections” to support social growth and a smooth transition into school life. Teachers and staff will be attentive to your child’s needs, and we’ll share updates on placement after the initial days. By August 25th, your child will be assigned to his or her classroom teacher. Please read the attachment to learn more about this exciting program we have created to assist families and staff in this first year of school.

Dustin Brady Assembly
Friday, September 5th
On Friday, September 5th, we will have a special assembly called "How To Do Magic." This fun show, also happening at Whitney and Chapman schools, uses magic tricks, jokes, and personal stories to help kids learn about self-discipline — that means practicing self-control and staying focused.
We think this assembly is a great way to start the school year! It will help our kids understand how being disciplined can make a big difference in their behavior and learning, like being determined and not giving up. Click HERE to learn mot about Dustin.
