Irving Elementary Weekly Update
Week of December 15th
Principal Message
Irving Families,
Thank you to our PTO for hosting Penguin Patch last week! It was wonderful to see how excited our students were to shop for gifts for their loved ones. We truly appreciate the time and effort that went into making this event such a success.
I hope you all had a chance to see my recent message about our upcoming Spirit Week. Below you will find a flyer with all the details for each day. We’re looking forward to a fun week ahead!
On Tuesday evening, we will be hosting our annual Holiday Show at Morton West High School. The performance will take place in the auditorium, with showtime scheduled for 6:00 PM. Students should arrive by 5:30 PM. Please note that doors will not open prior to 5:30 PM. Families should enter through the same auditorium doors we typically use—Morton signage will help guide you. You are welcome to bring as many family members as you’d like; the auditorium is very large and will have plenty of seating. The show will also be recorded and shared on my YouTube page at a later date.
Finally, winter break is almost here. Break will run from Monday, December 22nd through Monday, January 5th, with students returning to school on Tuesday, January 6th. Classrooms will be hosting holiday parties this Friday—please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher for specific details.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to celebrating the season together.
