March 30: Movie Night at the Orpheum 5:30 PM

April 1 - 9: Spring Break

Join us at 5:30 PM for our movie night! From March 20th to March 30th, students will have the ability to vote for the movie they would like to watch. Students will vote by bringing in coins to place in the corresponding coin jars. Whichever movie has the most coins wins. If you attend the evening you will also have a chance to win your own copy of the movie.

The possible movies are:

• Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile
• Peter Rabbit 2
• The Bad Guys
• Encanto
• Sing 2

Do you need transportation to the Orpheum? There will be a shuttle that departs from Steele Elementary School at 5 PM. Please remember that all students must be accompanied by an adult. Concessions will be available at the Orpheum.

Going on a road trip soon or need something to do while waiting in line or at an appointment? Play this vocabulary game with your child: Word Cloud This one helps students both remember meanings of words and make connections with words, strengthening schema and familiarity. Give your son/daughter one vocabulary word from any content topic. He/She will have 30 seconds (or whatever you like) to make a group list of related words. At the end of the designated time, count up the number of related words. That can be the amount of points they win. Repeat with another vocabulary word.

Miles of Smiles will be at Steele Elementary on May 15, 16, 17. If you would like your

student (s) to participate in the free Miles of Smiles Dental Program please click here to complete the consent form and return it to school. Forms may also be requested from the school office or nurse. All forms must be turned in to the School prior to the date of the event. If you already enrolled in the program during the registration process for the current school year, you do not need to complete the process again.”
