Words From The Counselors

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year, Centurions! We are excited for another awesome school year and have lots of great things in store for NCMS! Allow us to introduce ourselves as your school counselors:

My name is Brandi Bartels, and this is my 8th year at NCMS. I am a licensed professional school counselor and received my Master's degree from Wake Forest University (Go Deacs!). I am the counselor for ALL of 8th grade and 7th grade last names A-M. I meet with students individually and in small groups for various issues affecting young teens. I also serve as the 504 Coordinator and handle high school registration for 8th grade. I can be reached by email at bbartels@ncmcs.org.

Ms. Rotondo is starting her second year at New Century. Previously she was a middle school counselor and teacher in Austin, TX. Ms. Rotondo works with all of 6th grade and 7th grade students with last names N-Z. She is available to help students with various issues including anxiety, friendship issues, anger management, coping skills, conflict resolution, and more. There are different ones for each grade level 6-8. Your feedback is important and will help us meet the needs of students, parents, and the community throughout the school year.
