4th & 5th Grade Band Sign-Ups
Greetings incoming 4th and 5th grade and Advanced Band!
The time has come to start signing up for the 2026-2027 Paragon Band. If you will be in 4th or 5th grade, this sign-up is required as band is part of your curriculum!
We will have our instrument 'petting zoo' event on Monday, August 10 during the Teacher Preview day. I will have Strait Music on the scene to provide instruments and take care of rentals on the spot. If you don't decide on an instrument during that day, there is nothing to worry about. You can pick up a rental at any time.
After you confirm your rental (in August), send me a message with what you chose so I can add it to my record. In the survey above, only list an instrument you have an interest in; that form is non-committal. If you are a returning member, put the instrument you played this year. If you are returning and want to switch instruments, put the instrument you want to switch to and also send me an email with your selection.
I will have an updated syllabus out during the summer, which will include more detailed rental instructions, as well as supply lists which will be compiled by Strait. These supplies are a one-time purchase to own and keep forever. For example, this includes sticks and pads for percussion/ mouthpieces and reeds for wind players.
Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be answering emails all summer. Excited to hit the ground running this fall!
Mr. Brooke

Claim the World Competition
Hey Knights,
It’s time to play the Paragon’s Claim the World Game! Here’s how you play: Take your new Paragon Flag with you on any trips you take this summer or to some neat place here in town. When you find yourself in a noteworthy and/or picturesque spot, pull out your flag and pose with it in front of a telling landmark or sign. With your flag raised proudly in the air, sing the Paragon School Song while someone is snapping a picture of you claiming that spot for Paragon. E-mail your pictures to me at jpettiette@paragonprep.com. Pictures are due by the first week of school. Prizes will be given for the furthest land claimed and for the most interesting pictures. Also, your Paragon College will get points for each picture you send in.
Good Luck!
Ms. Pettiette (jpettiette@paragonprep.com)
The Paragon School Song
Written by Katelyn Erickson and Tara Satchell (Class of 2000)
Chorus
We are the mighty, fighting Knights,
Off to battle we will go.
Out to conquer and defeat,
All our challengers and our foes!
Verse 1
Well, our attitudes are positive,
Our minds are determined,
We'll always have a smile on our face! (Yes Sir!)
Politeness is required,
And virtue is our motto,
Loyalty abounds in this place!
Verse 2
Well, the teachers are the greatest,
The students are the finest,
"We love Paragon," you'll always hear us say!
We'll always strive for excellence,
Proud to be a shining Knight,
Always loyal to the black and white!
