MPE Weekly Family Newsletter
May 18-May 22, 2026
Welcome Jet Families!
We are almost at the end of the school year, and we are so proud of our Jets! We still have some events and celebrations this month.
Last week, our Jets enjoyed beautiful weather for both Field Days and our Spurs advanced to the Western Conference Finals. This week calls for possible rain, but we still have some fun activities planned. Please make sure you read through our Upcoming Events section of the newsletter.
We took a little dip last week in attendance. We were at 93% for the week. Our campus goal is 95%, so let's LEVEL back up this week!
Don't forget to see who our "Guess the Staff" was last week. It is at the bottom of the newsletter. Will you guess this week's staff member?
Arrival and Dismissal Safety
Thank you for your patience at arrival and dismissal. We have a lot of JETS that are car riders and walkers, and safety is our
#1 priority.
In order to make sure that these busy times go smoothly and safely, we want to make sure everyone knows the procedures for arrival and dismissal times.
Doors open for Morning Drop-Off at 6:45 am, through the cafeteria. There is only one lane for parent drop-off in the morning. The lane closest to the curb is the lane for morning drop-off.
DIsmissal is at 2:50 pm, and car riders are dismissed through the cafeteria. There are two lanes for car rider parent pick-up. The two lanes closest to the curb are used for pick up. Please be patient and courteous to each other, as there is only one entrance.
Finally, please make sure that you are not blocking any intersections, walkways, or crossroads. We want everyone to be able to get where they need to go in an orderly and safe manner. Many students walk home and need these spaces to be open and clear. This includes the intersection of Misty Ridge and Frontier Ridge.

Guess the Staff
Last week's hint was:
This staff member has been a baton twirler since she was 6. She has even twirled batons that were on fire!
So many people guessed Mrs. Drawdy, but it was one of our Special Education teachers, Ms. Jones!
Ready for this week's hint?
I have ran in 7 half marathons and over 20 5ks. I even tore my ACL doing an Alpha Warrior course. I used to be a part of an organization called Team in Training with LLS that trained you to run while raising money for blood cancer.
