Wednesday, August 5th - Convocation Call Time - 7:30am, we need to be staged in the gym by 8:15am, this is to accommodate all of the groups arriving for Allen ISD Convocation

*This is a sophomore, junior, and senior event only

*Varsity battery and cymbals only for percussion

Thursday, August 6th - No morning rehearsal because of Professional Development

Friday, August 7th - If you are attending Flight School go to the earliest time you can so you can join us after.

** We have made a change to our schedule on August 11th and August 12th. This change has been made to accommodate a new event for Allen High School, a 'dry run' of a football game called First Flight

August 11th - First Flight Football Game Rehearsal with Tallenettes, Cheer, Football, ROTC, and Student Leadership - This will take the place of our scheduled stadium rehearsal

5:30pm - Call Time, Music Rehearsal and Parade Block

6:30pm - Parade Block to Eagle Stadium

7:00pm - 8:30pm - First Flight Mock Football Game (The Stadium is closed for this event)

8:30pm - Parade Block back to the band hall

August 12th - Escadrille Photos, Rehearsal, and Parent Preview Performance

2:00pm - Call Time with all Vertical Fundraiser Contacts entered

3:00pm - 5:00pm - Escadrille Photos

5:00pm - Rehearsal

8:30pm - Parent Preview Performance

** Pass Off Schedule

Every Wind and Battery member of the Allen Band will pass off the following songs from memory. This will be the first playing test grade of the school year. These playing tests are due before the beginning of the school year (August 13th) and students can play their pass off for a director or a member of the Student Leadership Team. Their pass offs progress will be posted in the band hall and tracked in the director's documents.

The Allen Band Calendar (Allen Band Calendar) has been updated with several items. Everyone in the program is encouraged to take a look at the band calendar and be sure you've got the latest information. Rehearsals during Fall Break, playoff games during Thanksgiving Break, the Don Hanna Marching Contest, and next week's schedule have all been updated.

Students will be marching, moving, and playing for the majority of their time and will need to have the following items:

• Instrument with all accessories

• Charged Device with Ultimate Drill Book, Beam, and SportsYou apps loaded and joined

• ½ Gallon water jug filled with ice water

• Athletic clothing including a light colored shirt, athletic shorts, athletic shoes, no jeans/jorts, no crocs, no boots

• Hat and sunglasses

• Sunscreen

• Lunch (if you're remaining on campus to eat lunch)

• Any paperwork that has not been turned in

• Deodorant

Saturday, August 1st​

Uniform Fitting Day

Monday, August 3rd

7am - 11am - Outside marching rehearsal

12:15pm - 4pm - Inside music rehearsal

Tuesday, August 4th

7am - 9am - Outside marching rehearsal

5pm - 8pm - Inside music/outside marching rehearsal (based on weather)

Wednesday, August 5th

7:30am - Call time for Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors (NO Freshmen) in dry fit shirt and band shorts with athletic shoes; Varsity battery and cymbals for percussion

9:30am - 11:30am - Allen ISD Convocation Performance (NO Freshmen)

5pm - 8pm - Inside music/outside marching rehearsal (EVERYONE) (based on weather)

Thursday, August 6th​

7am - 9am - No Morning Rehearsal

5pm - 8pm - Inside music/outside marching rehearsal (based on weather)

Friday, August 7th

7am - 9am - Outside marching rehearsal

1pm - Call time for Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors (NO Freshmen) in dry fit shirt and band shorts with athletic shoes

1:45pm - 2:30pm - Back to School Bash Staff Pep Rally (NO Freshmen)

5:30pm - Call time for ALL Band members in dry fit shirt and band shorts (if 9th grade band shorts have not arrived by this time, alternate uniform plans will be sent out) with athletic shoes

6:30pm - FanFest performance begins, get to Waters Creek early for parking and a good place to sit

7:30pm - FanFest ends, all members ride the bus back to Allen High School

Monday, August 10th

6:30pm - 9:30pm - Outside marching rehearsal

Tuesday, August 11th

Uniform Fitting Day is Saturday, August 1st. If you do not attend to get your uniform fitted, you may not be included in the Escadrille Photo on August 12th, so it is important to be there! 🚨 Our biggest volunteer opportunity of the summer is here! 🚨

Volunteer spots for Uniform Day are now open! This is the day when every band student is fitted for their uniform and receives many of the items ordered during registration in April. The more volunteers we have, the smoother and faster the process will be for everyone.

To volunteer, please complete the following steps:

✅ Become an ABBA Member

✅ Complete the Allen ISD Volunteer Application
Set a reminder for June 8—the application opens that day! To ensure your application is processed in time for volunteer opportunities, please submit it as soon as it becomes available.

✅ Complete the ABBA Volunteer Code of Conduct at ABBA Code of Conduct
