Congratulations, Class of 2025!

This is a wonderful time in Lawrence Public Schools as we celebrate the Class of 2025!

Each of these more than 900 young people are impressive. They are resilient, resourceful, and responsible; they are caring and compassionate. We honor our graduates for the unique challenges they have overcome to achieve this milestone of high school graduation.

Educators. We offer our deep gratitude to our teachers, support staff, and building leaders for all they have done to support and guide our students through the critical years of their educational experience, beginning with the earliest days of preschool and kindergarten, through elementary, and middle and high school. Thank you, LPS team, for dedicating your energies in service and support of our students. Each graduate takes with them the positive impact you have shared, and they are better for your influence on their lives.

Parents of the Class of 2025, thank you for raising such amazing individuals and thank you for sharing them with us. We know it is not by accident that these graduates have become who they are and achieved their goal of graduation; they have thrived because of your love, guidance, and support.

Graduates, every experience you have had on your journey has prepared you for this graduation moment. You have absolutely everything it takes to move forward in confidence and impact our world in profound and positive ways. You have persevered and overcome. You represent a unique and special generation. History has called you to this moment; this is your moment, Class of 2025.

May an excerpt from Amanda Gorman’s beautiful poem serve as the blessing that we share together with you at this special graduation time:

"The new dawn blooms as we free it,

For there is always light,

If only we’re brave enough to see it,

If only we’re brave enough to be it.”

-Amanda Gorman,

National Youth Poet Laureate,

The Hill We Climb

Lawrence Public Schools Class of 2025, we are in awe of your brilliant light. Go. Let your light shine.

Wishing you all the best,
