Dear Parents/Carers,

This week has been a meaningful and memorable one at Larks Hill, with pupils taking part in activities that marked important occasions and offered lots of opportunities for learning.

This Week This Week

Remembrance

This weekend, several of our Year 6 pupil leaders represented Larks Hill at the Remembrance Service, where they respectfully laid a wreath on behalf of our school. We were extremely proud of how maturely they carried out this important role. Thank you also to Mr. Parkinson, Mr. McIntyre and Mrs. Law, along with thanks to parents and carers who joined us to show their support.

Also, on Tuesday, Mr Reynolds led an assembly in which our Head Boy and Head Girl read and reflected on the poem In Flanders Fields. As part of this act of remembrance, pupils and staff observed two minutes of silence at 11am.

Anti Bullying Week

This week has been Anti-Bullying Week, beginning on Monday with pupils across school wearing odd socks to celebrate difference and show support for the national campaign. Children also took part in the CBBC live lesson on Monday morning, followed by a whole-school assembly led by Mr Parkinson in the afternoon.

PAT Games Dodgeball

On Thursday after school, pupils from Years 5 and 6 took part in the UKS2 Dodgeball Skills Festival, competing against teams from other primaries within the Trust. Although there were no medals awarded this time, our pupils represented Larks Hill brilliantly, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and resilience. Thank you to all parents and carers who came along to support.

Children in Need

Today, we celebrated Children in Need 2025. It has been wonderful to see so many pupils arriving in non-uniform, with lots of Pudsey-themed outfits adding to the fun and excitement of the day. Pupils also enjoyed adding their coins to our giant Pudsey cut-out, which is now looking wonderfully bright and colourful! We are very grateful for all of your generous donations and are pleased to announce that we have raised £180.00
