Welcome Back to MRMHS!

Dear MRMHS Students and Families:

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Monadnock Regional Middle High School! As I begin my second year as principal, I am grateful for the relationships we built during my first year at MRMHS. I greatly appreciated the support, encouragement, and partnership I received from our students, staff, families, and community and I look forward to building upon that foundation as we have another year together.

A reminder of some helpful links to start the year:

  • MRMHS Student & Family Handbook
  • MRMHS Facebook Page

Welcoming New Faces

We will welcome several new faces to MRMHS this year, with some additional hiring and new staff members still coming on board. Each new member of our team brings different experiences, strengths, and ideas, and we are excited for the contributions they will make to our school community.

In particular, I am pleased to welcome Ms. Staci Willbarger as our new Middle School Assistant Principal. We are excited to have Ms. Willbarger join the MRMHS administrative team and look forward to our students, families, and staff having opportunities to get to know her.

Please be sure to follow the Monadnock Regional Middle High School Facebook page and watch for additional messages directly from our staff. We will continue introducing and celebrating the newest members of our MRMHS team as they come on board.

Huskies show PRIDE!

As we begin the new school year, we have much to do - and much to be excited about! One initiative you will see throughout the year is the rollout of “Huskies Show PRIDE!” which will bring our schoolwide values of Perseverance, Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy to life through visual displays and clear behavioral and academic expectations.

Beginning the Year Together

The beginning of a new school year always brings excitement, but it also requires some adjustment as students settle into their schedules, meet new teachers, and become familiar with new routines. This is especially true for our incoming seventh-grade students and other students who are new to MRMHS.

We ask for everyone’s patience and flexibility during the opening weeks as we work through questions and make any necessary adjustments.

Families should continue to watch for communications from the school and individual staff members containing important information about schedules, soft-opening appointments. Students or families with questions about schedules should contact their school counselor.

Communication and partnership between home and school are essential to a successful year. Please make sure the school has your most current contact information and continue to monitor your email for newsletters, reminders, and other updates. We also encourage families to reach out when questions or concerns arise so we can work together to support our students.

NEASC Update NEASC Update

October 1st

MRMHS is preparing for an important milestone in our school’s accreditation process. On October 1, MRMHS will welcome a visiting committee from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) for our Collaborative Conference Visit. This visit occurs in the eighth year of the ten-year accreditation cycle and helps prepare us for our full decennial accreditation visit in two years.

This work has already been a significant community effort. Throughout the past year, staff, students, and families have contributed through surveys, reflection, evidence collection, and committee work. Together, we have developed an approximately 80-page self-reflection report that will be shared with the visiting committee. During the October visit, committee members will also meet with and interview various staff members, students, and families.

The visit will be a major focus as we begin the year, but it is also an exciting opportunity to reflect on our strengths, identify areas for continued growth, and help shape the future of MRMHS. We look forward to sharing more information as the visit approaches.

As we prepare for the start of the school year, I’d like to share a few important reminders from the Health Office:

Tdap Vaccination Requirement

Vaccination records or an exemption form are required for middle school students. Families may submit an exemption form instead, but it is important that I receive one of these two documents. You may fax the paperwork to me at 603-355-1209, or call if you need an exemption form. State law requires students to have a Tdap vaccine, typically given around age 11 or 12.

This requirement also follows CDC guidelines for school-mandated vaccinations. Please be sure to send me a copy of your child’s most recent physical that shows the Tdap. I’ve noticed that some students who are otherwise up to date on their vaccines are still missing this one.

Medication Orders
If your child requires medication during the school day, please fax a copy of the medication orders to the Health Office. Having these in advance allows me to enter them into our system before the first day of school.

Thank you for your help in making sure our students have a healthy and smooth start to the year!
