π« Open House - August 18th
Incoming 1st - 4th grade students and families are encouraged to join us for Open House on Tuesday, August 18 between 4:30 and 6:00pm! This is a chance for students to meet their teachers, visit their classrooms, drop off school supplies, and reconnect with friends and staff.
A separate Kindergarten Open House will be held Monday, August 24th from 5-6pm.
Families who still need to complete back-to-school forms may also receive assistance during Open House.
π» Complete your Back-To-School Forms
If you haven't already, please complete your child's required back-to-school forms through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The Back to School Parent Guide walks you through how to complete forms.
If you're unable to access your Parent Portal, please contact the Navin Office at 937-578-7000, and we'll be happy to help you reset your password.
If you do not have internet access or need assistance completing your forms, limited computer access will be available during Open House on August 18.
π Navin School Supply Lists 2026-2027
Navin School Supply List 2026-2027
Spanish Translated version of Navin School Supply List 2026-2027
We want every student to start the school year with the tools they need to be successful. Thanks to a generous donation from the United Way, a limited assortment of school supplies will be available at Open House for families who could use a little extra support.
π£ Can I Walk My Child to Class?
Yes! Parents and guardians are welcome to walk students to their classrooms on their staggered-start day and again on our first full day of school.
Beginning the following school day, we'll ask families to say their goodbyes at the exterior doors. Staff members will be stationed throughout the building to greet students, help them find their classrooms, and support anyone who needs a little extra help.
We know that walking into school independently is a big stepβespecially for our youngest Monarchs! Our goal is to help students build confidence with their new routines while making sure they feel safe and supported along the way.

π¬ Coming Soon: My PowerHub
This year, Marysville Schools is moving toward one centralized tool for two-way communication between families and school staff. That means no more wondering whether a teacher uses ClassDojo, Remind, or another communication app!
My PowerHub, accessed through the PowerSchool Parent Portal, will eventually allow families to message teachers, view grades and attendance, report absences, complete forms, and moreβall in one place.
As we get these new features up and running, there will be a learning curve for all of us! For now, we encourage families to continue using email to communicate directly with teachers and school staff. We'll share more information as we transition to My PowerHub.
π₯ͺ Cafeteria Corner
Our cafeteria team is excited to welcome students back for another great year!
Breakfast Elementary: $2.25
Reduced Breakfast: FREE
Lunch Elementary: $3.50 (new price)
Reduced Lunch: FREE
Families can use PaySchools Central to check their child's meal account balance and add funds at any time. We encourage families to check account balances regularly throughout the school year.
Free & Reduced Applications:
Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families who believe they may qualify. If your family chooses to apply, please complete a "Free and Reduced Meal Price Application Form" available on PaySchools Central. The forms are available in many different languages.
π€³ My child is going to be absent from school, how do I report it to Navin?
MyPowerHub Option: You can log into your MyPowerHub account and click on the Safe Arrival icon. You can attach medical notes here as well.Currently, Safe Arrival is available through the web browser version of MyPowerHub but not the PowerSchool app. We will share an update when the app option becomes available.
β Important Attendance Update
Families recently received information from the district regarding changes to Ohio's attendance requirements under House Bill 96. One important change for this school year is how chronic absenteeism is calculated.
A student is considered chronically absent when they miss 10% or more of the school year for any reason. This includes both excused and unexcused absences, including most medical absences.
We recognize that this is a change and that there will always be times when students need to miss school. We'll navigate these new requirements together and communicate with families when attendance becomes a concern.
At the end of the day, our focus remains the same: being at school matters. Consistent attendance gives students the best opportunity to learn, build relationships, and be successful. We appreciate your partnership in helping our Monarchs be at school, on time, and ready to learn whenever they are able.
π€ Navin PTO! (Parent Teacher Organization)
Whether you're looking to volunteer, stay informed, or simply keep up with upcoming events, we encourage you to follow the Navin PTO Facebook page. It's a great way to stay connected throughout the school year.
All are welcome to join us from 5-6pm on September 8th in the Navin library for our next PTO meeting.
