Arrival at School: The building will open at 6:55 AM. Students will report to the cafeteria to wait until 7:05. Students will be released to classes at 7:05 AM. All students will need to report to their 1st period class. *If the student has 1st session Ben Barber A Day class, then they should report to Ben Barber for a 7:00 AM school start. It is best to arrive at Ben Barber by 6:45 AM in order to beat the traffic in the mornings.
Wednesday 8/17 is an A Day: Students will follow their A Day schedule of classes (1st-4th periods).
Wellness Period (Formerly know as Advisory): Every student MUST attend their advisory class. During Advisory time, we provide daily opportunities to engage with other students and staff and will deliver SEL Lessons for every student. Students are not allowed to sit in their car, travel to restaurants, hang out in the cafeteria with friends, etc. during this time. Attendance will be taken. Remember, attendance impacts your ability to get a VOE and Test Exemptions during final exams.
TCC Classes: Students with TCC courses in their schedule will report to the library during that class period. Attendance will be taken. TCC students do not have Fridays off. More information about TCC will be given to students when they report to the library.
ID Cards: Students will be taken to the library by Social Studies classes during the first four days of school. The first ID card is given to students FREE of charge. After the first ID, students will have to pay a $5 replacement fee for each ID card replaced. ID's must be worn on a lanyard around the neck.
Schedule Correction/Errors?: Students who need or want a schedule correction to be considered must complete a schedule correction request form. Forms can be picked up before school, after school, at lunch, and during passing periods or use the QR Code posted around the building. Students may not be excused from class to get a form. Counselors are already working on correcting major errors and will process those issues first.
Food: No food is allowed in the academic wings of the building or in classrooms. Students will not be allowed to consume food and/or drink in hallways or classrooms. Students are not allowed to have “To Go” cups (Styrofoam, plastic, etc.) in the building or classrooms. Students are allowed to have reusable bottles or items such as a Hydro Flask.
Breakfast/Lunch: During the 2022-23 school term, students now have to pay for their breakfasts or lunches. You can apply for meal benefits by going online to www.schoolcafe.com and completing the online application for free or reduced meals.
