LMHS Updates
for parents and families ... April 5, 2026
Attention middle school families! MCAS ELA testing is here!
- This week, on Wednesday 4/8 and Thursday 4/9, grade 7 will have MCAS testing in English Language Arts.
- Next week, on Monday 4/13 and Tuesday 4/14, grade 8 will have their ELA MCAS tests.
Testing on all days will begin promptly at 8:00am. To best prepare, we encourage families to try to ensure that students get a good night's sleep and eat a solid breakfast on testing mornings. It's also very important that students bring their school-issued Chromebook - fully charged - to school on testing days!
We have been having some issues lately with students over-spraying cologne, perfume, and other body scents -- both on themselves, toward others, and all around. We have begun confiscating bottles when students do this, as most people don't enjoy walking through scent clouds ... and for some, it can cause unwelcome reactions. Please encourage your student(s) to only apply such body scents at home if they must ... and to keep the bottles at home. Thanks for your help.
Spring Break is coming soon! Vacation week is Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24. During vacation week, the office will be closed at some times. Please call ahead to make sure that we are open if you need something!
