Now we are all settled back into the familiar routine of school life the school is alive with learning. Our children are eager to come in and they always impress us with their willingness to try new things. If you have the chance please pop in and take a look at their classrooms and outside spaces. Our staff are working hard to ensure that every day is an new opportunity.

Class 1 are learning about superheroes including real-life heroes. They have also been practising their counting and place value skills with some very impressive Maths involving ordering several numbers. Class 2 are learning how to be real Geographers. At present they are creating plans of their classroom and have transferred this to mapping their locality. Class 3 visited Murton Park, near York, and learned what is was like to be a Roman soldier. A brilliant day was had by everyone, including the staff!

We have organised a MacMillan Coffee Morning in school on the 27th September following our first Celebration Assembly of the year. All money raised goes to a great cause. We'd love to see you if you can make it.

In the next few weeks we will share with you our School Improvement Plan. This plan highlights the main priorities for the school and will allow you to understand some of the key actions which are continually improving our school.

Many thanks to those who are keeping the ramp outside Class 2 free from obstruction. We really appreciate your support at the start and end of the day when it is a busy time and children are trying to leave their classes.
