Our first and ongoing fundraising activity starts NOW!
Here is one of the biggest ways we can fundraise for this trip. The Gift of Education is a sponsorship program that WorldStrides offers where friends, family, businesses, etc, can donate directly through the program that is designing our trip for us. I've attached a sample letter that you can send along with this link to family, friends, or anyone you think may be interested in helping raise money for our trip. We are hoping that those who donate would be willing to donate toward the entire group to help bring the overall trip cost down. Our goal is to raise $250 per student, which is just 10 people donating $25.
Here is a sample letter, you're welcome to tweak how you would like:

I am planning to participate in an amazing educational program to New York City this spring with my friends and classmates from the Watertown High School performing arts department! We’ll spend a total of three days together in New York City, participating in an adjudication with our ensemble and exploring the city. Here are some of the awesome activities that are planned for us on our New York program:
- Harbor Dinner Cruise: Ferry along the Hudson and around the Statue of Liberty while dancing the night away to celebrate our performance!
- Broadway Show: Get dressed up and enjoy a show.
- Metropolitan Museum of Art: Experience one of the world’s leading art museums, and the largest in the Western hemisphere.
- Central Park: Walk through the 840-acre park, which includes the Central Park Zoo, an ice-skating rink, and a carousel.
In order to take part in this totally unique adventure, I’m hoping to raise $250 for my group. Please help me by sponsoring a portion of my trip.
