May ~ Staying Connected
From the Classroom to the State Capitol
Media Associates and Student Influencers represented MBIT at Career & Technical Education Day at the Pennsylvania State Capitol and they showed exactly what student voice looks like in action.
They connected with legislators, engaged with CTE programs from across the state, and stepped inside the spaces where decisions are made… all while confidently sharing their story.
Beyond the networking, they experienced something bigger seeing firsthand how their voice, their skills, and their journey matter on a statewide level.
Proud doesn’t even cover it. This is what it looks like when students step into their power and represent something bigger than themselves.
Annual Philanthropy Today Breakfast and Award Celebration
A meaningful morning centered around connection, impact, and student voice 🤝
This year’s Philanthropy Breakfast brought together grantors, grantees, students, and community leaders to celebrate the power of giving back through education. More than just a gathering, it was a moment to reflect on how student-led philanthropy continues to shape real change in our community.
Over breakfast, conversations turned into connections, and stories highlighted the lasting impact of this work. The most powerful part of the morning came directly from our students, who shared their experiences throughout the grantmaking process. Their insight, passion, and purpose continue to show what’s possible when young people are empowered to lead.
Grateful for every individual and organization who supports this work and invests in our students. The impact goes far beyond today.
Record-Breaking National Technical Honor Society Students Inducted
We’re proud to celebrate our newest inductees into the National Technical Honor Society marking another record-breaking year of student achievement. This group continues to raise the bar, representing the very best across our programs.
This recognition goes far beyond academics. It reflects a commitment to skill development, leadership, responsibility, and the drive to show up each day ready to grow. Whether in the classroom or gaining real-world experience, these students embody what it means to be truly career ready.
Congratulations to all of our inductees, this milestone is well earned, and your future is just getting started.

The students inducted into the National Technical Honor Society include the following:
Big Win at the UTI Top Tech Challenge
Our Automotive technology students earned 1st Place at the UTI Top Tech Challenge, proving what’s possible when skill, focus, and real-world training come together.
From the start, this competition demanded precision, problem-solving, and the ability to perform under pressure. Our students rose to the challenge, applying the technical knowledge and hands-on experience they’ve built in the lab to real automotive scenarios. Every step required attention to detail, teamwork, and the confidence to trust their training.
This achievement is more than just a win it’s a reflection of the dedication these students bring every day. Their commitment to learning, improving, and pushing themselves to the next level is what set them apart on this stage.
We’re incredibly proud of this team for representing with professionalism and excellence. This is what career-ready looks like and they delivered. 👏
From Students to Licensed Professionals
We are proud to celebrate a major milestone for our Cosmetology students, as multiple individuals have officially earned their cosmetology licenses following this recent achievement. This accomplishment represents the successful completion of extensive training hours, hands-on practice, and the mastery of skills required to meet industry standards.
Throughout their time in the program, students have dedicated countless hours to developing their craft, working with real clients, refining technical techniques, and building the professionalism needed to thrive in the beauty industry. From hair cutting and styling to coloring, skincare, and salon safety, each student has demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence.
Earning a cosmetology license is more than just a credential it’s a gateway to immediate career opportunities. With this achievement, our students are prepared to enter the workforce with confidence, equipped with both the technical expertise and real-world experience that employers are looking for.
We couldn’t be more proud of these students for their perseverance, dedication, and passion. Their hard work has truly paid off, and this milestone marks just the beginning of exciting futures in the cosmetology field.
Behind the Scenes with Multimedia Technology 🎬
Step inside the Multimedia Technology lab, and you’ll quickly see that the real magic happens long before a final video ever hits the screen. Our students are fully immersed in the creative process developing concepts, sketching storyboards, planning shots, and working through each stage of production with intention and purpose.
From filming and directing to editing and refining final cuts, every step requires focus, collaboration, and technical skill. Students take on specialized roles within their teams, learning how to communicate ideas, solve problems in real time, and adapt when challenges arise just like they would in a professional production environment. The attention to detail is evident in every frame, as they work to ensure their projects meet both creative and industry standards.
These competition videos represent far more than a single assignment. They are the result of hands-on experience with industry tools, creative storytelling, and teamwork that mirrors real-world expectations. Through this process, students are not only building impressive portfolios but also gaining the confidence and experience needed to succeed beyond the classroom.
What may look like a finished product on screen is actually the outcome of hours of dedication, creativity, and collaboration behind the scenes and it’s clear that the future of multimedia is already taking shape right here.
Big Win at the Greenfield Youth Film Festival 🎬🏆
The spotlight was well deserved for our Multimedia Technology students at the Greenfield Youth Film Festival, where talent, creativity, and storytelling took center stage
Moments like this speak to the power of real-world learning. Inside the Multimedia Technology program, students aren’t just learning concepts they’re actively creating, producing, and refining their work using industry-relevant tools and techniques. From concept development to final edit, their projects reflect the same processes used by professionals in the field.
Recognition at a competitive festival like this is more than just an award it’s validation of the dedication, collaboration, and passion these students bring to their craft every day. It also reinforces what’s possible when students are given the space to explore their creativity while building meaningful, career-ready skills.
