We started our week launching Unit 1 of Second Step and described how students will be setting goals these upcoming weeks. Mrs. Panetta & Mrs. Devonis shared their personal goals at the assembly and then recognized all the hard work students have already put in. Students received awards for demonstrating Respect, Ownership, Achievement, and Responsibility as well as for their artistic talents and perseverance with ST Math.

This week students will be working on Lesson 2 within Second Step. Learn more about how you can generalize the concepts and skills at home by checking out this overview.

Thank you to everyone for a successful first week back to having everyone driving on campus. Please be sure to respect the cones and timelines outlined in the plans below as we are an active campus with many students enjoying time outside. In the afternoon, the cones will not be moved until 3:20/3:25. If you need to be able to exit the parking lot earlier than that, please park on Union Street. Due to the buses and playground, we need to make sure it is safe to move vehicles. If you are staying late at the playground, please park closest to the swings.

Attendance Counts

Having students at school and on time daily is a major part of having a successful school year both academically and socially emotionally. Please send your child to school every day, unless they have any of the prohibited symptoms. Let us know how we can help if attendance is a concern for your family.

Lunch & Breakfast

Students may bring their lunch from home or choose from the daily menu. Breakfast will be grab and go and lunch will have hot and cold options. All students will have access to meals at no cost.

Bus Expectations

We want to remind families that riding the bus is a privilege and that safety for all students is extremely important. We will continue to review behavior expectations and adjust individual plans as necessary so that all students are having a safe and enjoyable transportation experience.

A large part of what makes our school community such a great place to be is the strong Parent Council organization. This is for every Hamilton parent to get involved in, whether on a small or large scale, working to bring experiences for our students that go above and beyond general school offerings.

Please consider lending a hand to this dedicated organization.

Monthly meetings are held via Zoom. Please join us whenever it fits in your schedule. No need to even turn your camera on! Each meeting we will discuss ongoing initiatives and upcoming events.
