AAA I-Ready Growth Red Carpet & Foam Party Celebrations!!

We are so excited to celebrate our students' growth on i-Ready!! Students are currently taking their final Reading and Math IReady assessment for the 2022-2023 school year! Every student who meets their growth goal will get to experience celebrity status! On Tuesday, May 16th EVERYONE will dress in our best Oscar Red Carpet attire! Students will get to step out of a limo, walk the red carpet, have their pictures taken by the paparazzi (the parents!), and get their picture made with Dr. Coffey and Mrs. Torain! We are so excited to celebrate our STARS!! We will have special certificates for ALL students who meet their PERSONAL growth goal for the 2022-2023 school year!

Tuesday, May 16

Red Carpet iReady Growth Celebration

  • 8:30 - 9 am: 6th-7th
  • 9 - 9:30 am: 8th
  • 9:30 - 10 am: PreK-K
  • 10 - 10:30 am: 5th
  • 10:30 - 11 am: 1st-2nd
  • 11 - 11:30 am: 3rd-4th

We will have sack lunches.

Foam Party

  • 12 - 12:30 pm: PreK-K
  • 12:30 - 1 pm: 1st-2nd
  • 1 - 1:30 pm: 3rd-4th
  • 1:30 - 2 pm: 5th
  • 2 - 2:45 pm: 6th-8th

Clothing: Students come to school dressed in their best for the Oscar Red Carpet experience. Students also need to bring a change of clothes that can get wet (t-shirt, shorts, shoes that can get wet, NO swimsuits), a towel and bag to put them in. A plastic grocery bag works great!

Parents: Parents are welcome and encouraged to come to both! In the morning, parents will act as "paparazzi" and take pictures of the students as they get out of the limo, walk the red carpet and pose with Dr. Coffey and Mrs. Torain. Parents can also come enjoy the fun of students playing in the foam and eating free Kona Ice sponsored by PTA. And also help with the excited kids!

Other Info: Students will be receiving sack lunches from the cafeteria. The morning session will be in the front of the school. The Foam Party will be outside by the gym.

We're looking forward to a fun day!

For the Foam Party, there will be two foam cannons set up beside the gym with music and beach balls and Kona Ice parked right there as well. PTA is covering all of it so snow cones will be free to the kids.

We will ask students to bring a change of clothes, towel and bag. Students will come to the gym in their changed clothes and bring their towels to walk back to class to change. We will have volunteers to assist with the chaos with the foam, Kona Ice line and helping kids get back to their classes at the end.
