7th-Grade Making Memories at Camp Nock-A-Mixon!

Our 7th-grade students made memories to last a lifetime during their outdoor school adventure at Camp Nock-A-Mixon this past week! From bonding in the cabins and sharing laughs in the dining hall, to conquering the ropes course, canoeing on the lake, and exploring the pond, it was an unforgettable experience for everyone.

We even had a special guest join the fun! Dr. Hoffman stopped by, and our students did a fantastic job teaching her the ropes—giving her hands-on lessons in archery, tie-dye, canoeing, and so much more. It was truly amazing to see our students enjoying each other's company, building community, and thriving outside of the traditional classroom. Thank you to all the staff and families who helped make this incredible trip possible!

Celebrating Mr. Digiacomo!

Our 7th graders had an absolute blast at Outdoor School this past week, and it wouldn't have been possible without the incredible dedication of Mr. DiGiacomo!

Months of meticulous planning went into making this trip a success. From masterminding complex schedules and strategically planning hands-on activities, to handling all the event logistics (including purchasing everything from safety gear to... yes, live worms!), he didn't miss a single detail. Because of his hard work and clear communication, our students were able to connect with nature, build teamwork, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Thank you, Mr. DiGiacomo, for going above and beyond for our 7th graders! We appreciate you!

  • 8th Grade Ceremony: 9:25–10:05 AM

Families of students receiving awards have been notified last week, and are warmly invited to attend. Please do not arrive prior to 8:15 AM, as we will be focused on safely welcoming students into the building at the start of the day.

Since school will be in session, all guests must sign in with the Attendance Secretary using a photo ID (driver’s license) to receive a visitor pass before entering the building. To help avoid long lines the morning of the event, guests may pre-check in on Wednesday (6/3) or Thursday (6/4) during normal school hours. We will print and hold your visitor pass for pickup on the day of the ceremony. For those unable to attend in person, we will livestream the event so all families can view the ceremony.

Eighth Grade Dance - June 5, 2026

Eighth Grade Dance - June 5, 2026

Theme: Hollywood We are so excited to offer our eighth grade students the opportunity to celebrate their days here at Strayer.  The dance includes a professional DJ, photo backdrop, and decorations.  To keep the cost of the dance at $5 per student, we are asking for parent help with snacks and drinks.  Below is a list of items that we would like to have for the students to help make the evening special.  Please consider donating one of the items on the list if your child is attending.  Thank you! 1.  "Finger" foods are a hit at the dance.  They can be individually wrapped or on a tray.  (Please label trays/containers with your child's name.) 2.  The kids are very thirsty, but they do not want to stand still long enough to consume a large amount.  The full-size bottles get wasted.  For this reason, we request small bottles of water, juice, and soda. 3.  Donated items that do not require refrigeration may be dropped off at the office during regular school hours.  All other items may be dropped off when you bring your child to the dance. Location:  Strayer Date:  Friday, June 5, 2026 Time:  6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
