The Weekly Update #4
August 22nd, 2025
A Message to Our Families
We had such a busy and productive week leading up to Thanksgiving Break! Our teachers and students have worked incredibly hard, and they have truly earned this time to rest and recharge. We hope everyone enjoys a peaceful break surrounded by family and friends.
Before you head out for the break—Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28—please take a moment to read through this newsletter for important updates and upcoming events.
We can’t wait to welcome our students back on Monday, December 1st. And honestly… don’t you just love when a brand-new month starts on a Monday? We sure do!
Enjoy the break, Knights! 💛🖤
Tardy Policy Updates for Between Classes:
Parents, we need your help ensuring students are in class on time. Three or more tardies in one week will result in an after-school detention. If a student receives three or more tardies for two consecutive weeks, the consequence will elevate to a Saturday detention.
Thank you for helping us reinforce responsibility and respect for instructional time. ⏰💛
Please continue reading through the rest of the newsletter for more updates, upcoming dates, and ways to stay involved. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!
We are grateful for our incredible students, families, teachers, and staff who make up the Spring ISD family! Wishing everyone a safe and joyful Thanksgiving filled with love and gratitude.
🍂🧡🦃
¡Estamos muy agradecidos por nuestros excelentes estudiantes, familias, maestros y personal que conforman la familia Spring ISD!
Les deseamos a todos un Día de Acción de Gracias seguro y alegre, lleno de amor y gratitud.
Normalizing Growth
At the start of the school year, scholars received a data folder that included their STAAR results from last year and their NWEA MAP Beginning-of-Year scores. As we prepare for the upcoming Middle-of-Year MAP assessment, please encourage your child to review and reflect on this information. Understanding their own data empowers them to set goals and take ownership of their learning.
Scholars who meet 50% or more of their annual growth goal will be celebrated with special treats and a recognition event. We are so proud of the progress our Knights are making!
NWEA MAP Testing – Middle of Year
Testing will take place immediately upon our return. Please ensure your scholar arrives on time and well-rested on the following days:
- Tuesday, December 2, 2025 – Math
- Wednesday, December 3, 2025 – Reading
- Thursday, December 4, 2025 – Science
Dress Code Expectations
Parents,
Please help us reinforce our campus expectations regarding headwear:
- Hoodies are allowed, but hoods may not be worn inside the building.
- Hats, ski masks, and scullys are not permitted indoors.
- Scholars may wear these items only while outside for arrival or dismissal.
These guidelines help us quickly identify all students and maintain a safe, secure learning environment. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our campus safe.
