THE PRINCIPAL CHRONICLES
The Principal Chronicles continue ...
As I write this, there are officially 38 days, 6 hours, and 26 minutes left in the school year, counting the weekends and holidays. How do I know this? Well, I have a countdown clock in my office that I start on the first day of school each year. I use it as a reminder that we are running out of time to support our students. Granted, at this time of year, we do start to get worn out and will be ready for summer, but at the same time, it is critical to utilize the short amount of time we have with our students. The year always goes by so fast, and it seems like there is never enough time to get everything in. Hence, the need for a countdown clock.
On the home front, I am still in a bit of a holding pattern. I am moving in June to downsize now that my one and only is basically out of the house, but it is a little early to really figure out where I want to live. In addition, she is going to move home around the middle of May so that will be a little bit of an adjustment as well. Since I am downsizing, I am going to store all of her junk in a storage facility until she moves back into her sorority next year.
Although the sorority has been very expensive, she has enjoyed being there and has made quite a few friends. Hopefully, she doesn't flunk out of her classes but to be honest, she is actually doing really well in school. She isn't an academic All-American by any means but at least she is passing all of her classes. That is good in my book.
That is it for this weeks episode, stay tuned for next week when the Principal Chronicles continue ...
