Innovator of the Week
Gilbert Leos was nominated by Mrs. Taylor. "He has truly distinguished himself as our CTE Child Development Student of the Week. As a senior, Gilbert consistently demonstrates maturity, responsibility, and a strong commitment to excellence, earning the top grade in the class. During the Realityworks RealCare Baby simulation, he went above and beyond in providing attentive, thoughtful care, showing both patience and a genuine understanding of infant needs. Beyond his academic success, Gilbert is a positive presence in the classroom—he is friendly, approachable, and always willing to lend a helping hand to both peers and his teacher. His leadership and kindness do not go unnoticed, and he sets a strong example for others to follow. Gilbert’s dedication and character make him truly deserving of this recognition, and I have no doubt he will carry these skills forward into future success."

Their success is a testament to their commitment to excellence, countless hours of preparation, and genuine passion for healthcare. As their teacher and HOSA advisor, Mrs. Anita Janicke, couldn't be prouder of the dedication and professionalism they displayed on such a competitive stage. They have truly represented the program and Rowland High School with distinction. Mrs. Janicke has no doubt that their hard work and achievements will serve them well as they pursue their healthcare careers. Well done, Christopher and Erica!
