MRP MonarchMessengerWeek of August 24, 2026

Mountain Ridge Primary Families,

We are so excited to see our students and get our school year started! We look forward to learning & growing, building relationships, and encouraging positive behavior and attendance!

There's a lot of information included, and much more to come. If you have any questions, please ask. All communication will be through BCS UPDATES (through email or text using your registered information), Seesaw, our MRP website, student planners and our ORANGE communication folders. Be sure to watch for weekly teacher updates and the Monarch Messenger each Sunday. Be sure to get and stay connected. If you aren't connected, let us help you! Be sure you are linked so you don't miss out!

Together, we will help our students strengthen their WINGS, discover their potential, and take flight toward a year filled with learning, growth, and success!

Your child's teacher will share info on SeeSaw about their class.

Afternoon Dismissal..Our instructional day ends at 3:15pm. We will begin dismissal immediately following announcements. Be sure to have your ID! If you will be picking your child up each day, you should have a pick-up number. (Your child should know their number!) If you are picking your child up instead of them riding the bus, please PLAN AHEAD & SEND A NOTE. If you need to change your dismissal plan, please call before noon so we can have our documents prepared for the pick-up team.

If you are choosing to pick-up your child each day ....you can help!

1. Please drive slowly while on campus. Follow the speed limit signs and watch for staffulty who are helping direct traffic. Students are loading/unloading vehicles & buses.

2. Have your ID ready. Regular pick-up numbers should be displayed.

Need help finding your child's bus info? Check the BCS transportation info on the website or the BCS app.

Parent Pick-up Reminders Parent Pick-up Reminders

Please help us make pick-up smooth and safe for everyone!

  • Want to help make parent pick-up smooth? Consider having your student ride the bus home.

  • If you're picking up and it's a change - please contact the office with bus changes by NOON.

  • If you're picking up daily and do not have a parent pick-up number, please request a form from the office and you will be given a pick-up number. THIS IS FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE EVERYDAY PICK-UP.

  • Use the Parent Drop-off/Pick-up lane as you come onto our campus. Please do not begin lining up until 3 pm. This is a safety concern for our staff and students.

  • Families will remain in their cars.

  • A staff member will be looking for the parent pick up number assigned to student.

  • Staff members are REQUIRED to check IDs EVERYDAY.

Safety Update Safety Update

As your student begins their school year with us, we will be teaching and reviewing safety codes. The codes will be discussed and practiced in each classroom. Please take some time to ask your child about them this week. We will be learning many new things as we begin the school year, including steps for safety.

ANNUAL EMERGENCY UPDATE

Counselor's Corner Counselor's Corner

Welcome back ! We are excited to start another school year. Ms. O'Shields, our counselor, will be here Monday through Friday. We are looking forward to supporting our students and having a great school year.

Attendance Update: Did you know that missing 10% (or about 18 days per school year) can make it harder to learn to read? Gaps in your student’s education will occur. We want our students to Strive for Less than 5 this year. In the event your child must be absent, it is important to communicate with their teacher and the school. Using the online excused form is a quick and easy way to make sure your child’s absence is coded correctly.

If your child misses school, please send a note within 48 hours so it can be coded correctly!
