VOLUME 18
13 November 2025
On Tuesday we recognised Remembrance Day, thank you to our Year 3s for leading the service.
Dear God,
We remember those who gave their lives so that we might live in freedom and peace.
We give thanks for their courage and sacrifice, and we pray for all who still suffer because of war.
Lord, we ask You to bring peace to places in our world where there is conflict today.
Bless the leaders of nations with wisdom and compassion, so that harmony may grow.
Help us to be peacemakers in our own lives—kind in our words, fair in our actions, and caring for one another.
May Your love guide us always, and may peace reign in every heart and every land.
Amen
PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME
Dear Parents,
Monty the Monstar Fun Run
There is much excitement leading up to the Monstar Fun Run on Friday 14 November. Thank you to Susannah Piek and our P&F team for organising the event, and in advance, to the many parent helpers for assisting tomorrow. The opportunity to Fundraise closes tomorrow, if you haven’t done so, please create an account at www.myprofilepage.com.au as this will be able to manage your donations.
Proceeds from the event go to the purchase of a swing on the top oval, which will benefit all the children in our school. This year we are offering an icy pole treat to each member of the class that has the most children fundraise. Also, 4 teachers have volunteered to be slimed. Every student who raises over $100, goes into a draw for the chance to slime a teacher.
JP2 Care
At tomorrow’s assembly, the Year 5 students will launch our annual JP2 Care initiative. This is our schools mission focus leading up to Christmas. We ask students to bring in a range of non-perishable items that can then be collected for the parish who will then share these items amongst those in need in our immediate community. It is a wonderful outreach opportunity.
Reconciliation
Please keep in your prayers, our Year 3 students who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Penance for the first time on Friday 21 November. The liturgy commences at 8.45am and Year 3 parents are welcome to attend to support their children make their Reconciliation.
Community Meeting
The Annual School Community Meeting will be held in the school library on Wednesday
19 November, beginning at 5.00pm. If you are interested in being part of the P&F Committee or joining the Advisory Council, please collect and complete a nomination form from the office – or via the links below. Please contact me for further information. Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting.
Kindy Orientation
We are looking forward to welcoming our 2026 Kindergarten families, on Wednesday
26 November at 9:00am at our orientation meeting for parents. The meeting is an opportunity to listen to the teachers and other invited speakers and afterwards to mix socially over morning tea.
As this meeting is just for parents and caregivers, please make alternative arrangements for your 2026 Kindy child and younger siblings.
The following week, on Wednesday 3 December between 9:00 – 10:00am, there is an orientation opportunity for children attending Kindy in 2026.
2026 Enrolments
We are currently interviewing for places in 2026. There are places available in most year levels. Please encourage anyone new to the area to contact us and seek some information about our school. Last term we introduced a refer a friend incentive, being that if you invite a friend to join SJPIICPS, and they enrol, then you will receive $100 off your child’s school fees.
2026
We are currently preparing classes for 2026, please let the school office know if you are not planning to return to SJPIICPS.
