A Message from the Principal

Dear Highlander Families:

A HUGE thank you to our AMAZING PTA for hosting International Week. Our volunteers organized an incredible assembly for our students on Wednesday, featuring performers representing Korea, Scotland, and India. On Friday, they hosted an International Food Fair, and students could sample traditional dishes from many countries and cultures. In addition, PTA hosted lunchtime activities each day to educate and engage our students with the world around them. We are so fortunate to have the support of the Highlander community to make this possible for our students. We have a general PTA meeting on Tuesday at 9 am in Room I-8. Please join us. If you would like to join via Zoom, please see the information in this newsletter.

Please mark your calendar for the Hewes Middle School Open House. On Thursday, April 9th, we will host families on campus from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm to connect with teachers and learn about the incredible work your students have done this year. I will be hosting a Welcome to 6th Grade session at 5 pm for all of our current 5th-grade students who will be attending in the fall. Additional reminders will be sent after spring break.

Please stay connected to Hewes by checking our website and following us on Instagram @heweshighlanders for the latest information and news.

Highlander for a Day is a recognition program at Hewes Middle School that celebrates students for incredible moments of Winning the Day the Highlander Way. Students are recognized for working hard, including others, never giving up, controlling their responses, choosing to act above the line, and taking extreme ownership of their 20 square feet. These are the habits and mindsets that shape our Highlander culture, and we are so proud to share them with our entire school community.

25 Years of Red Hill Magic: Help Us Tell Our Story! 25 Years of Red Hill Magic: Help Us Tell Our Story!

Dear Red Hill Elementary Community,

In 2026, we are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone: 25 years of learning, laughter, and community at Red Hill Elementary. To honor our silver anniversary, we are creating a special commemorative slideshow to be featured during our upcoming Open House—and we need you to help us bring it to life. Whether you were a student in our first-ever kindergarten class, a teacher who decorated the very first hallways, or a parent who cheered at a decade of field days, your memories are what make Red Hill special. See the attached flyer for more informaiton.
