A Fantastic Start to the School Year! 🦁
Dear LPS Majestic Families,
Looking Ahead: A Healthy & Engaging Week!
As we head into another great week at Majestic Gardens, we want to remind our families about the importance of keeping our students and staff healthy. We have seen an increase in sickness across campus, so please help us by keeping your child home when they are feeling ill. This simple step helps protect our entire school community and allows students to return ready to learn and participate.
Curriculum Night – September 3
We are excited to welcome our families to Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 3! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher and learn more about the curriculum, learning expectations, and instructional experiences your child will have this year. We look forward to partnering with you and sharing how we are working together to help every student grow and succeed!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we Lead the Pride and Build the Legacy! 🦁
Consistent Early Pick-ups
Every minute of instruction matters! We have noticed an increase in students being picked up early on a regular basis, and we want to remind families that consistent attendance for the entire school day is essential to student success.
When students are picked up before the end of the school day, they miss valuable instructional time, classroom discussions, interventions, and opportunities to practice and apply new learning. Those missed minutes add up quickly over the course of a school year.
Additionally, under Texas attendance requirements, students must be in attendance at least 90% of the school year to receive credit for the school year. Regular early pickups count toward missed instructional time and will impact a student's attendance records. We do NOT allow or support regular early pick ups on our campus.
We understand that occasional appointments or emergencies arise, but we ask families to avoid scheduling routine early dismissals whenever possible. Please schedule what you can to Friday's as we have many of them off from school. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure our students are present, engaged, and learning throughout the entire school day.
Fastpacs
MG Elementary Families, We want to make sure every student in our school community has access to the food they need to thrive. Through our partnership with Frisco Fastpacs, eligible families can receive a weekly bag of nutritious, kid-friendly food to help provide additional support at home. If your family could benefit from this program, we encourage you to complete the Frisco Fastpacs application. Participation is confidential, and our goal is simply to connect families with resources that can help. https://www.friscofastpacs.org/receive-fastpacs If you have questions or need assistance completing the application, please reach out to me. I am happy to help! Thank you for allowing us to partner with you in supporting the well-being and success of your child.
Warm Regards,

From the Clinic
💚 A Little Reminder From Our Clinic We’ve had quite a few students feeling sick recently, so we kindly ask families to help us keep our school community healthy. 🤒 If your child isn’t feeling well, please keep them home to rest and recover. This helps prevent the spread of illness to classmates, teachers, and staff. Please continue to encourage: 🧼 Frequent handwashing 💧 Plenty of fluids 🤧 Covering coughs and sneezes 🏠 Staying home when sick Thank you for helping us keep Majestic Gardens Elementary a healthy and happy place for everyone! 💚
Cyber Safety
Join us at Majestic Gardens Leadership Prep for a Cyber Safety Parent Seminar led by the Children’s Advocacy Center. This informative session will help parents better understand the digital world their children are navigating and provide practical strategies for keeping them safe online. Topics will include common online risks, inappropriate content, privacy, online grooming and enticement, and how to have important conversations with your child about internet safety. Come learn, ask questions, and leave with tools you can use at home to help your child navigate technology safely and confidently.

Chick-fil-a ordering is now open for September! Please visit myschoolbucks.com to order. Be sure to select the correct student and day when ordering, CHANGES CANNOT BE MADE.
At this time, the myschoolbucks app is not working properly for all families. Most of our families have had success by using the website in the meantime.
Chick-fil-a will be offered on Mondays 9/14, 9/21 & 9/28
Chick-fil-a will be offered on Thursdays 9/3, 9/10, 9/17 & 9/24
Dillas will be offered on FRIDAY 9/11
Ordering will close on August 23rd!
We will not accept or allow DoorDash or any other similar food delivery service for students.
No school 9/4 and 9/7!
Parents, just a reminder that we will not have school on 9/4 and 9/7!
Walkers
For families choosing Walker dismissal, students are currently dismissed from the front doors at 3:55 p.m. Parents/authorized adults should meet their student at the designated walker area at the front of the school.
To help ensure the safety of our youngest students, we will be holding our Kindergarten and 1st grade walkers a little longer before releasing them from the front doors. This additional time will allow our staff to monitor students and help ensure they are able to safely connect with their parent or authorized adult. If your student is a walker, we do not have a student check out. If you prefer a check out, the carpool is your option. If parents are consistently late for walker pick up, you will no longer be able to be considered a walker and must pick up in the carpool lanes.
We appreciate your patience and partnership as we continue to refine our dismissal procedures and, most importantly, keep our students safe.
LPS Little Miss Cheer!

School Visitors
We are not permitting visitors or volunteers in the school until after 9/14. This allows us time to establish routines and procedures with minimum distractions. Thank you for understanding.
Student Expectations
Please review the Parent/Student handbook prior to the first day of school. HERE is the UPDATED link. You can access information regarding:
- Attendance
- Uniform expectations
- Technology
- Student code of conduct
- And so much more!
We will NOT have additional clothing on hand for students to change into during the school day if needed. Parents, you will need to ensure your student is in dress code everyday as well as provide additional items for students or you will be called to drop off items or pick up your student.
Arrival and Dismissal
Our doors open for drop off at 7:00am each day in the gym, students K-5. All students will enter the building through the gym doors on the south side of the building only. Students will follow their regular schedule each day. Dismissal is at 3:55 pm everyday. Please see more information below regarding our new process for dismissal with PikMyKid as we are diligently working to streamline our process.
PLEASE AVOID ENTERING THE DRIVEWAY DIRECTLY FROM MAIN STREET FOR ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL! BACKING UP MAIN STREET IS BECOMING AN ISSUE!
Thank you all for your patience and for working with us to streamline our process as our goal is efficiency but more importantly safety!
Updates, MUST READ!
The safety of our students is our top priority, and we need the participation of ALL families to ensure arrival and dismissal run safely and efficiently each day. Please review the traffic routes below and enter the car rider line as indicated in the image. Following the designated routes helps keep traffic moving and creates a safer environment for everyone.
As we begin the school year, please be patient with us during the first few weeks. Students, families, and staff are all learning and adjusting to the procedures together. Your cooperation and flexibility are greatly appreciated as we work to establish smooth routines.
Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
Please help us by following these important expectations:
Remain in your vehicle at all times while in the carpool line. NEVER park and get out of your car while in the carpool line. This is a drive though line ONLY where cars should NEVER be parked.
Students must be able to unbuckle/buckle seatbelts and exit/enter the vehicle with little to no assistance. If you feel that your student needs assistance, you may park in a designated parking spot to assist them but NOT in the carpool lane.
- Students must enter and exit the vehicle from the PASSENGER SIDE ONLY for everyone's safety.
- Students may NOT be dropped off or picked up on Majestic Gardens Drive at any time. YOU are risking YOUR student's safety by doing so. Student entry is only allowed at the front of the building.
- Students are only able to access designated entry/exits during arrival and dismissal.
- Families requesting "walker" dismissal must provide proof of residency within one-half (½) mile of the school. Students will only be designated as walkers AFTER approval from the campus. This must be YOUR residence that is on record, not a friend or family member.
- At this time, we are NOT permitting parent "walk ups" as our students are dismissed from inside the building.
- You MUST have your dismissal car tag displayed while in the carpool line. If you do not have your tag, you must park in a designated parking spot and enter the building with your drivers license/passport. We will be printing an additional car tag for each student within the first few weeks of school.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students safe and make arrival and dismissal a positive experience for everyone. Working together, we can ensure a smooth start to the school year!
PikMyKid App
We will be using a new app this year for dismissal called Pikmykid. Below is a video and the parents information guide. We hope that this will be an easy transition and help with the dismissal process. Please review prior to the first day of school for a smooth transition. We truly believe this will make our process more safe and more smooth moving forward. See map below.

Snacks and water bottles
Water Bottles
To help maintain a safe and clean learning environment, all students need a spill-proof water bottle each day. This helps prevent spills that can create safety hazards and disrupt instruction.
Snacks
Students may bring a healthy, dry, and easy-to-eat snack for designated snack times. Choosing simple, mess-free snacks helps students quickly refuel while minimizing distractions and keeping our classrooms clean. Snack items should be easy to open by the student and not include utensils or preparation. We also prefer to avoid peanut products in the classrooms as well.
Some snack suggestions include: protein bars, dried fruit, goldfish, etc.
After School Care
If you are unable to pick up your child by 3:55 p.m., we encourage you to enroll in our after-school care program. Our teachers and staff dedicate long hours each day to supporting student learning and are not able to provide supervision beyond the end of the instructional day. Enrolling in after-school care helps ensure your child is safely supervised while also allowing our staff to conclude their workday as scheduled. We appreciate your partnership in helping us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process.
