50+ Years of Dragon Broadcasting: How Television Started at LOHS 50+ Years of Dragon Broadcasting: How Television Started at LOHS

Though we've wrapped up production on our newscast LO-AM for the year, Dragons Broadcasting students have created something to fill the void. "50+ Years of Dragon Broadcasting: How Television Started at LOHS" is a student-produced documentary about the history of our program. Teddy Hirschfield started production in early 2020 (as we were approaching the 50th anniversary of our program), but the pandemic halted his plans. Current Seniors Jillian Jansson and Raymond Valentine took Teddy's work and completed it this spring. And now we're thrilled to share it with you!

We hope you enjoy the show!

School Dismissal Manager

We have started utilizing School Dismissal Manager (SDM), a program for parents to communicate early student departures. LOHS successfully used the SDM program last year. It is accessible on either computer or smartphone, allowing parents the opportunity to officially submit an early dismissal request without calling the school.

On approximately September 22, you should have received a communication from School Dismissal Manager with additional details. Parents are encouraged to check their designated email accounts. Also, be advised the message might be redirected to your “junk” folders. The welcome email from SDM provides all relevant information necessary to activate and begin using your account.
