Dear Kennedy Families,
I hope this communication finds you well. We have had a fantastic start to the school year and our students have settled into routines and are working hard and having fun along the way!
A few reminders as we move forward in our 2025-2026 school year:
If there are changes to your child’s after-school plan, please send a note to your child's teacher. If a change happens within the day please call our front office at: 715-345-5614 before 3 p.m. We will add the message to our end of day notes so that your child’s teacher knows how they are getting home. Please avoid sending a message, email, or text to your child’s teacher. Teachers are busy teaching during the day and are not expected to immediately read messages or emails. Teachers will respond to your message within 36 hours. If there is an emergency message that cannot wait, please call the front office so we can help you. We appreciate your cooperation so we avoid end-of-day mix-ups.
Consistent attendance is a key part of an enriching educational experience. Please make every effort to have your child attend the entire school day, as we want them to have access to all components of our school programming. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring your child gets the most out of their education.
We would like to remind you that you are always welcome to come enjoy lunch with your child (and they look forward to it)! Please call the front office if you would like to meet your child for lunch and let us know if you will be purchasing a school lunch or will be bringing your own.
We are here to support all of our students and families! Please reach out at any time!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Crystal Armstrong
Principal, Kennedy Elementary
Director, Kennedy Child Care

Halloween/Fall Festival Dress-up/Activities
🎃This year school will be closed on Halloween, October 31st. Students will be allowed to wear costumes to school on Thursday, October 30th so as long as the following guidelines are followed:
- Costumes should not interfere with a student's ability to participate in class or learning activities.
- Student should be able to use the restroom without costume interference
- No full face masks
- No weapons, politically or racially insensitive themes, overly scary, or violent imagery (no fake blood/gore)
- Students should be able to participate in gym class, including wearing gym shoes
- Apply make-up, hair color, and assemble the costume at home to avoid disruptions at school
Teachers will be providing more information about any class activities or celebrations that may be taking place within his/her specific classroom. Students will be permitted to wear the costume all day so long as it does not impede the ability to learn. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or the main office.
Have a School Instrument at Home? We’d Love to Have It Back!
As we begin the school year, our music teachers are working hard to assign instruments to our 5th and 6th Grade Orchestra students and 6th Grade Band students. While going through our inventory, we’ve realized that over the years, quite a few instruments have simply not made their way back to school.
We need your help! If you happen to have a school instrument tucked away in a closet, basement, or storage space, please return it to your child’s school. There’s no penalty and no questions asked - we just want to make sure these instruments can be played and enjoyed by current students.
The need for school instruments continues to grow, and by returning any instruments you may have, you’ll help ensure we can provide access to all students - especially families for whom renting an instrument would be a hardship.
Thank you for checking at home and helping us put instruments back into the hands of kids who are eager to make music!
