Special Friday Release Dates and Times for the 2024-2025 School Year

Mr. Mistrata and Mr. Kupfer, our P.E. teachers are inviting parents and caregivers to volunteer to help during our Field Day. Our kindergarten Primary Field day is set for May 22nd. This is an engaging day for our students, but we need help running stations and games for our students. If you would like to volunteer, fill out the form below.

All volunteers need to sign up by Friday, May 16th. Because we need our volunteers to run stations and games, no siblings are allowed to attend. Dress comfortable and ready to play! It's going to be a fun day!

May 5-May 9th is Staff Appreciation Week and we have fun surprises in store for our staff all week! It's a great time to show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication. We want to include our students as they are impacted the most by their teachers and the staff at Woodland Primary. So, what can you do? Our staff love to receive a positive note or email from a family, it makes their day. Students can draw a picture or fill out the form below to send in to their teacher. (Your child will have a copy in their backpack today if you choose to do this.) Drawing a picture or sending a note is something everyone can do and is always such a thoughtful gesture. We have the BEST staff at Primary-let's show them how much we love them!

Each year our PTA funds special assemblies for our students. Earlier this week, our Dual Language students were treated to a special performance by Mi Amigo Hamlet and Alina Celeste. It was a wonderful concert in both English and Spanish. This coming week, our kindergarten students will have an assembly called, It's Cool to Be Kind and our EC/WELE students will have a concert presented by Miss Carole Stevens. These are great experiences for our students and we appreciate our amazing PTA for providing the funding! Thank you, PTA!

We had a great turnout for the Primary School Play Date on Friday, April 25th at the Kohl Children's Museum Pop-Up Museum. Sixty-eight (68) people attended! So far this school year, 344 people have participated in our 8 playdates! Thank you for your support as we added a new way to connect families.

Our next Playdate is May 16th at Warren Township Park. Let's hope for a beautiful day!

Technology Volunteers Needed This Summer!
Did you know that a school district is a busy place in the summer? While teachers and students are on summer break, many district employees will be on site to get ready for the 2025-2026 school year! From technology updates and facility improvements, to planning for new initiatives, summer is an important time to make sure everything is ready to support students and staff when they return. This is where you come in!
The Tech Team is looking for volunteers to help with the following:

• Unboxing Chromebooks - a fleet of 1,000 Chromebooks need unboxing
• Enrolling & Updating - All Chromebooks, new and already in use, will need to be enrolled and updated
• Building Charging Carts - Chromebook charging carts need to be built for our schools

No experience is necessary. Service hours available upon request.

• 8th Grade PTA Scholarship applications are DUE Wednesday 5/7. No late submissions will be accepted. Extra forms are available in the Middle School office.
• Were you unable to attend the book fair at Middle? Online sales will still count toward our fair totals! You can shop the MIDDLE Book Fair HERE through 5/4.
